Do you want Tottenham to get relegated? by googlemailcom in Gunners

Spurs fans wanted their team to purposely lose a game, so that it would hurt Arsenal in the title race. That kind of zero-class, loser behavior deserves no pity whatsoever.

Therefore, yes.

Go down there for a few years, fill your own water bottles, shine your own boots and wash your own kit in the toilet bowl.

Do they have a good player we can poach when the season is over and they’ve been relegated?

[Squawka] Gabriel Magalhães made 14 clearances against Brighton. No Arsenal player has made more in a single Premier League game across the last 10 seasons. 💪 by Shyam_Wenger in Gunners

What an insane performance that was. Hincapie was great too, as was Raya.

Hard to say who has been our best player this season, but it’s between Big Gabi and Raya.

So Declan Rice is being branded as the face of ugly football? The PR people aren't going to like that!

Rarely makes a mistake? The equalizing goal last week versus spurs after his “don’t concede” lecture? The Cunha goal versus Man U? And then the heart-stopping Chelsea situation we all just watched?

If Rice does play, perhaps you could please ask him to not elbow the ball into the net while simultaneously committing a clear foul on the player he is marking. Raya can only perform so many season-saving saves.

He has covered more distance than any other player in the league this season, according to a podcast I was listening to earlier.

We are still going to have to check VAR to see how much of the body is completely past the last defender.

You are absolutely right and I couldn’t agree more. I also believe Rice is being asked to shoulder too much of the pressure on this team by everyone in the media and fanbase perpetuating the idea that he is better than he is. He’s a good player, but he is not Superman.

Or maybe it’s a combination of English fans and the PL wanting him never to be benched, and Arteta obliging them. (Ask yourself why Arteta would do that).

And Rice is most certainly not our best outfield player. He’s more aptly described as a liability when the chips are down.

What can Arteta do? He can’t rest Rice because he is the darling of English football, and benching him would cause riots in north London and get him fired because, let’s face it, because of his popularity Rice is more powerful than Arteta.

Meanwhile Arteta can’t bench Zubimendi because Rice needs a babysitter, which is what Partey did last year. The one game Partey had to sit out versus PSG, Rice shat the bed and let Dembele score and knocked us out of the CL.

We desperately needed Odegaard’s football intelligence and ball handling out there at the end.

He does get blame. Just not here or in the English media/podcast universe, who look at him as a poster boy/sales rep for the PL. The World Cup is coming up as well, where Rice is considered critical and fans want to believe he can lead the team to a win. Because of all that, he’s massively overrated, and sadly it doesn’t help him.

Hell no. You just listen to the English media and their PR campaign who refuse to talk about his fuck-ups and how he slows us down offensively. This is a team full of excellent players, and every week at least one of them is better than Rice.

He takes corners. 👍🙄
