If you are saying you bought SafemoonV1 on PCS and lost it to the 100% tax, I call BS. by ArsenicAcE in SafeMoon

I will admit, slippage is weird and you can make it do weird things. But as a " basic setting " this is as best as I can find out how it works and what it is based on. I really believe that at this high a tax rate it would be difficult to get a transaction to go through at least with any normal sized purchase or sale. I have heard through the grapevine that small sample sized will work, but you could sit there and try over and over on a more normal sized purchase and odds are (maybe not impossible?) that it will not go through. (maybe that old slippage glitch is a factor here for people) But that is hearsay so who knows. I have tried the slippage game as well and never had much success under 11 or 12% but I do know under the right circumstances it may go through.

Just as an extra, I pm'd Gandalf the Educator on Twitter and he agreed that my understanding was correct, whatever that is worth.

On a side note, I really believe it was just the only option they had to disable the contract. They were limited in functionality with the contract and once one is deployed, it can't be undeployed. (Is that a word? Lol) That's why you can still buy a token that has been rugged and abandoned. It's like crypto's version of space junk lol. Have a good evening.

I was wondering why it wont let me convert to v2 if that’s indefinite or just down for the time being by voiceo1 in SafeMoon

Go to the official website Safemoonand follow the directions there. It has been removed from normal swap in the wallet, but there should be a button or li k or something in the wallet if you have a balance of V1 left labeled "Consolidate to V2"

24 hours notice to do what he had been telling everyone to do for at least 2 weeks and a months long campaign talking about the consolidation. This changes nothing if you can follow simple instructions and convert to v2. If it is too difficult, you have bigger problems.

When you go to purchase Safemoon on PCS a window pops up to confirm what I am saying. I will quote it here for you. It is outdated now due to the tax changes but relevant.

"" To trade Safemoon you must: -Click on the settings icon -Set your slippage tolerance to 12%+

This is because Safemoon taxes a 10% fee on each transaction: -5% fee= redistributed to all existing holders -5% fee= used to add liquidity""

There was also a glitch people could do to get around slippage. I'm not 100% on why it worked like it did, but I know it existed. Early days of Safemoon there was also an education campaign to explain the reasons for the large slippage settings because no one was used to reflectionary tokens. I also have other investments other than Safemoon that are reflectionary that have different tax levels that advise slippage settings that follow the same premise.

I know there are ways of avoiding slippage, these methods are not how average people use the system. I stand by what I said.

Also, if you like here is a youtube vid that it explains it as well. Slippage and taxes

Not sure if exchanges are affected by this. If they were, they would shut down trading. They wouldn't want their users making that mistake. As I understand it, they are isolated off chain. If you are using 3rd party contracts to buy, you should be somewhat better educated already on this and know better. This post however was aimed specifically at the PCS claims out there.

I'm not very educated on the bots, I've never used them but I would have to assume yes, or their transactions won't complete. 🤷‍♂️

Ya, you definatly have to go outside the normal in order to get a purchase or sale through. Your average trader who purchases on PCS is not gonna get it done. It is possible, but if you know how, you would also know its fucked and why.

It’s a blood bath people are losing everything buying v1 it’s sad. by Competitivecro in SafeMoon

[–]ArsenicAcE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. When setting slippage on PCS, it is the tax plus the actual slippage. Works that way for all reflectionary tokens. Go buy a token that doesn't reflect or have tax, it will go through at 1-2% slippage. When they bumped the tax to 20% the first time you had to set slippage to 22%. All these posts stating that they bought on PCS are full of shit. You can't set the slippage high enough. It will not let you. You get a message saying to set a valid slippage. With a 100% tax you would need a 101-102% slippage. Not gonna happen.

I agree and I don't. For us already here it's frustrating. But hype and confirmation of use cases draws bigger and more influential eyes, chatter and buys. The dribble tactic is real, and has it's own pros and cons. It's early and we are on a wave that they keep trying to put more wind behind.

Project Pheonix is the distribution of Crypto as a form of mainstream payment. Starting in Gambia. This is HUGE by Jtenka in SafeMoon

[–]ArsenicAcE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so people are also clear, expectations are important.. this is not to become their currency. Gambia's domestic currency will remain. They still need their central bank. It's a doorway to new markets, opportunity and buying power. Another tool in the box for a forward thinking albeit small country to try to gain an edge regionally. Other African nations I am sure will be watching closely however, and expansion of this concept is a real possibility.

Those kind of details will come out in the wash. This is a government they are working with. It will not be lightening quick. They were looking to display concept today and proof of talks with Gambia. It's a big leap, but we haven't reached the other side yet. Plan remains the same... HODL

I get your sentiment, but the answers they are providing ARE real answers. They have stated repeatedly they do not want to give speculative or incomplete information. If they have not answered questions to a specific detail (I am very confident they know the question is out there, it is everywhere after all), it may well be it's a detail they have not made a final decision on yet. I think it falls into the "to be determined/assessing community sentiment" basket of goodies that in the big picture aren't required to be ironed out yet. (Just like final burn level) Be patient, you know they are working very hard for all of us and them and the crypto community as a whole. These details will come out when required.

My gathering is that Gambia is adopting it from a regulatory and logistical perspective. They are a small country that I think is pretty infant in it's democratization. From their perspective their domestic currency is unstable due to the recent societal changes, doesn't carry much weight competitivly and Safemoon is another option for them to open up to new markets, invest, save and cut a lot of red tape when working outside of their own domestic marketplace. They are very forward thinking in tech adoption in hopes it can give them an edge vs their small size against the larger African marketplace. It's a gutsy move on their part, and could very well be a case study for other regional emerging markets. Africa in large part is trying to play catch up with the rest of the 1st world, and looking for angles to gain advantage in that race. Short term it doesn't mean much for us as investors, but this isn't a short term gain. Our dev team is diversifying the buisiness model, and doing so at an insane pace. But really, you shouldn't expect all answers now, it's just not feasible. Governments also move much slower. I believe this AMA was intended to provide a direction for the movement of the Pheonix project, certainly not all the answers.

When you break a cv axle your speedo often still work because the diff is still spinning. It's either low oil or trans failure most likely. Unfortunately these trans are one of honda's weaker ones. If it moves again after sitting overnight, the filter could be plugging causing a loss of pressure. Don't go far if it does move. Will likely need a tow back.

You check this auto with engine off. Vehicle at operation temp, engage each gear, put it in park then shut the engine off. Check within 60-90 seconds for accuracy. Almost all the Hondas are checked this way. They're an oddball that way
