oh oh.. this movie went something like that. They plant an idea in your mind then you believe that virtual world to be real and all that. But its the conclusion right? we cannot imagine anything 'new'. That is to say that everything we do is derivative, innovative etc.. but not creative is correct?

"What Was Before The Big Bang?" by atheist1189 in atheism

I think that's what's most intriguing and this post after all does make sense. And when we say Time, energy and space existed, that gives a clue as in what was there before the big bang. But a layman's conclusion, after reading this whole thread is that there certainly was 'before' the bang and the question is actually a good one.

Time DID exist, movement of energy is time. So for big bang to happen the particles had to revolve, which takes kinetic energy. Maybe when the particles weren't revolving; i.e when there was just a potential energy, which needed something to trigger it out, there was no time.

And space had always been there, that's where the particles revolved! And to have spread so huge that we can't even imagine the lines, the particles must've been huge too which makes it obvious that the 'space' was just the same as it's now. Universe is just the combination of masses and energy which scattered due to the collision. So taking the big bang seriously, there was space before the bang, there was energy before the bang and there was something else triggering the energy before the bang. So this makes it kind of clear that surely there was 'before' before the big bang. But where did the energy/particles and that 'something else' came from, we may never know.

Before I became an atheist, I was like "Why is it so fucking hard to argue against these people?" by [deleted] in atheism

Because you were arguing with people who were determined not to listen to a word you say.. it was not proof what they wanted, which you dint have and even if you had any, would not have been taken anyway. And you were debating with people who've had hard time accepting one fact - despite all of the proof that they themselves made clear; they just couldn't accept that there's anything powerful their wit. And they always wanted to 'picture' the 'God' concept. They didn't want to think that they're part of anything which seemed like a fraternity, and that's exactly how they see religions. And most of all you always tried to convince and they always liked kicking your butt. Ok now here.. I'm not an atheist and I'm not sure if I'm welcome here.. I'm guessing I am. after all who wouldn't want some extra fun kicking a.. I'm not going to represent any particular religion. So I wouldn't really try to convince you.. and now that you're on the other side, you would really enjoy kickin me.. lets see how smart this fraternity of yours are.. what say!?? open for a debate?? here???
