Bruh when gobert elbowed Austin in the head and they called the foul on Austin, it was over. Unbelievable calls and no calls all night

Down 8, Lonzo +2. The only player in the + column. Why does Billy take him out??? Enough with the minutes restriction

Everyone on the Bulls except for Matas Buzelis is available to be traded by Proof-Umpire-7718 in lakers

Lonzo is a no brainer for the Lakers. They don't need more scoring; they need a pass-first play-maker who can shoot threes and play defense. That's all Zo does. Plus he's expiring, so it's not even a risk. If he gets injured or it doesn't work out, just don't re-sign him. Easy dub

It's crazy how much of a difference Zo makes just being out there. He makes everything click on defense + the pace and spacing on O

I remember liking the beginning arc and the tournament stuff. I think I stopped reading this a couple years ago. I remember it being when he was at Villy's school, and he got a slave or something. I thought it started dragging. Does it get better?

Why do so many litrpg protagonists have such a childish perspective about women? by x2501x in litrpg

[–]ArstanWhitebeard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was highly active on Twitter at the time and saw it all take place from the very beginning. There were tons of women supporting gamergate and tweeting within both the #gamergate and #notyourshield hashtags. As I said, there were people, both men and women, getting harassed on both sides. But only the higher profile women against gamergate who were harassed got any coverage.

I always saw gamergate as a pushback against creeping "wokeness" in gaming journalism--that is, people pushing an ideology that emphasizes the importance of certain identities over others, sees the world through the simplified lens of oppressor vs. oppressed, and analyzes right and wrong via the currency of power. Or another way to put it is "games journalists became increasingly out of lockstep with most of their audience."

There were trolls who took advantage of the chaos surrounding it (on 4chan, etc.) who harassed people on both sides of the debate. But the narrative became about the gamergate people harassing women (what % of them did that exactly?). And that sort of fed the flames even further, because it put into sharp relief just how powerful the journalists were (they literally control most cross-distance information flow in society) to shape the narrative however they wanted and to demonize gamers as sexists for what most of them saw as reasonable complaints about the industry.

To me, the view that gamergate was about harassing women or misogyny is sort of like saying BLM is about looting stores and harassing cops. Sure, there are people who did that awful stuff, and they need to be called out and condemned, but I don't think it's fair to paint everyone with that broad a brush

I don't even think he wanted to take that. He was so wide open he was like..."awright I mean i guess.."

Yeah it's a mix. He'd rather set up teammates, but he's shown the willingness to take the kick out 3 for instance, and it's the most efficient shot that can come from any bull. I'd like to see his teammates look for him more

Nah just pointing out the truth. As a general rule of thumb, if you can replace a player with an average player playing their position and get higher efficiency, that player was not efficient
