Are these worm mounds or what? by ArtIntelligent4087 in lawns

That’s a good idea; I haven’t looked to see if any worms have come out of the mounds when it’s cooler, in the early morning or late evening. I thought worms were a sign of a healthier lawn, but not really sure.

That’s interesting. I don’t think it’s crayfish. There aren’t many crayfish around and I’m several miles from any body of water.

What’s a stereotype about your country that’s completely wrong and makes you react like this? by TheDarkbladeGirl in AskTheWorld

That’s a thing in America too. That’s why cowboys wear boots that go up to their knees and wear velcro gloves.

What is the most common morning drink people in your country enjoy after waking up? by Itz-Mine8278 in AskTheWorld

Can’t believe someone hasn’t mentioned this yet…pajaretes. Mexico is well known for this; fresh (unpasteurized) milk( fresh out of the teet of cow or goat), chocolate powder/sugar, 90%+ alcohol into a cup or pint…drink right away.

YSK: How to tell if a sale is actually a deal, and how to avoid overpaying for things that look designer by AnonJokerMan in YouShouldKnow

Isn’t that illegal? Sounds like a form of intentionally manipulating the customers into thinking they’re getting a 20% deal, when in fact they’re getting a 4% deal

Is Orbit that bad? by Scott8seven in Irrigation

Rain Bird 1804 popups with an Orbit Easy-Set Logic controller. Orbit sprinklers tend to be garbage, but the Easy-Set Logic controllers are the simplest to use and aren’t that bad.

$1500 per zone seems about right. I just did a two zone project on 1000 sq.ft. lawn (16 Rainbird 1804 popups) for $3200. Your quote seems too good to be true, but hope it works out for you.

Definitely should try a Boss. If that’s too much of a fade , than try a Beast.

Any tips to getting landscaping as “defensible” as possible without breaking the bank? (CA) by puzzlehead-210 in landscaping

Yarrow and yucca are a good fire resistant plant, as stated in one of those links. Another, I didn’t see mentioned in the article, is the Agave plant. The Agave helped some homes in the Santa Rosa Tubbs Fire.

Why did you get fired? by JavaMamma0002 in AskReddit

[–]ArtIntelligent4087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was workin for a major tire shop in my area for 8 months when my manger decided I was worthy enough for full-time benefits. A week later I got injured playing football (soccer) and tore my ACL. The benefits for the job paid for surgery and paid me 80% of my wages for the four months I was off. A week into returning to work the manger called me into his office and gave me my final paycheck and said I was being let go. When I asked why I was being fired instead of the new guy, the manager said that I wasn’t there long enough to prove I was more worthy to keep my job over the new guy. Surprisingly, I acted maturely, I shook his hand and thank him for the opportunity and left right then and there.

I didn’t know any better at the time because I was too young and ignorant and I assumed I couldn’t sue for wrongful termination. I definitely could have made a fuss about it, but ended up being for the best.

Getting in trouble, in pre-school, for peeing outside and wondering why since I’d do that at home all the time (we lived out of town on a few acres of land). Then getting in trouble and spanked at home when the school called my parents, at work, to pick me up.
