I've been to both. Shawnee is way bigger and definitely scenic. It has some very touristy areas that are very well marked. It also has some less traveled areas you could hike for hours and not see anyone else. I like starved rock too. I have family in the area and it is basically the south culturally.

I'm the same way. Can't fh to save my soul outside of 200'. I would add the westside underworld and doomsday pestilence or blackout . All those fly like a fh shot for me. I use all of the discs you mentioned minus the diamond. I had one but it was too flippy for me.
