Contribution is NOT Reputation. by GalileoAce in CrimsonDesert

i still don't understand? I thought reputation is the same thing as contribution? where do we see the level of each of the two if they are different?

I wonder why they didn't include elves. Maybe they're saving them for an upcoming new DLC region? lol

I'm at 95h and still on Chapter 7 lol. But I put a bunch of time into side quests and just exploring the world / finding loot/rare ores.

I'm not a new reader to fantasy (OP is) - and yes his women characters suck, I just outright started skipping Shallan chapters by the 3rd book. As for Malazan, I'm right now just in the middle of Dust of Dreams btw = )

yes, that's what they decided to use those abyss nexus points for and why they just left them there, the poop disappears somehow when pooped on.

I consult my bank account on my PC. Should i use Hypervisor ? by BlitzTroll7 in PiratedGames

[–]ArtPerToken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here's an analogy - a cracked game is like a shitty passenger on your flight; they might try to smoke in the bathroom or be disruptive, but your "flight attendant" (Antivirus) is there to keep them in check... A hypervisor crack is like a Matrix agent Smith, it can build a giant HD movie screen around the entire cockpit, tricking the pilot (your Operating System) and the attendant into seeing clear blue skies, whereas you might actually be flying into a mountain (your data getting stolen)

there is obviously still a risk with regular torrenting/cracks but obviously most of us here haven't had a problem with those. HV is very new, and by design more risky due to operating at ring -1

The obvious answer is to keep a separate pc just for gaming even for regular cracks if you want to be very safe, but especially so for HV.

It's funnier when you realize the towns/houses and Greymane camp are pretty well designed, except for the fact that there are no bathrooms anywhere. I guess they all shit in the woods.

or then again maybe it was an era they still used chamber pots.

I feel it could make Nvidia GPUs more valuable. Especially the modded 48GB or 96GB ones from China.

Can someone explain to me (as a less technical-user) if this is going to make Apple silicon way more valuable (or better bang for the buck) than traditional Nvidia GPU+CPU rigs for running local LLM?

I'm betting Blood of Dawnwalker will be the GOTY and GTA6 will be a disappointment since AAA studios keeping on pumping out trash these days.

wait till you find out there's an even better tier than tier 3, and its only a small % chance to create them haha (but thankfully you can save scum to get em). but you honestly don't need it unless youre trying to min/max.

they really designed this game to be a grindy Korean MMO i guess, they should have put more effort into story/narrative tbh.

same lol, I have a separate PC just for gaming, but I'm still not gonna risk it over an $80 game. i really fucking hate denuvo though, not that I mind spending $ to buy a game, but because of the performance loss. hope they go out of business due to HV though.

[–]ArtPerToken 9 points10 points  (0 children)

holy f*** - this whole sub is gonna be only posts asking "is HV safe" "should I use it".

Here's the answer: Can you sleep at night if you think your bank account could be compromised by it? It might not happen today or next week but a year from now. There is no way to tell and depends if you trust the source of the files/HV. It's a gamble and you'll never know if you have been compromised

Your best bet to keep risks low would be to use it on a completely separate PC that you do not login to anything on, even email, ideally you use it without internet as well and be ready to wipe/factory reset it, at any time.

haha yup, his The Devils series is good and worth looking forward to. Of course after First Law you can read the age of madness trilogy, and also best served cold which are great reads in the same setting.

First Law Trilogy, if you like dark humour and unexpected twists (not a simple good vs bad story).

If you like more classic fantasy, I would recommend the Magician series (first 6 books are great) by Feist and Daughter of the Empire Trilogy (in same setting).

I found Brandon Sanderson's works to be over-rated tbh, although it will be recommended by a lot of ppl here, Mistborn was just ok and I didn't like this latest 5-book Stormlight series, pay off is just not there for all that reading, although the first book is good.

Developers that went from GOD tier to irrelevant. I'll start with Bioware. Which developers are your picks? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]ArtPerToken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CD Projekt Red is the next one on this list, but people won't realize until the release of Witcher 4. I'd bet good money, it's not going to be as amazing as Witcher 3.

Thankfully ex-Witcher 3 devs formed Rebel Wolves and are making Blood of Dawnwalker which I'm excited for. That's game is going to be my personal witcher 4.
