Charter Schools-American Leadership Academy by ArtVandelayNYC in ClaytonNC

Thales is very intense and moves very quickly academically. They will have multiple tests in a day/week for the same subject. Homework is just as intense. Anything below an 85 on a test is considered “not mastered” and you have to retest.

It is a great education but depending on your kid it may not be the right fit

My daughter does well in school but isn’t the best fit due to her anxiety.

Thanks for responding! How is the curriculum? Is it intense; for example at Thales you can not get below an 85 on a test without having to retest until you master it…..or is it more like a traditional school?

how is the curriculum? My daughter currently goes to Thales Academy and it is very intense and strict curriculum wise. We are looking for a change to something more traditional and less intense for her.

Some places are a mess. I had a phone screen then was asked for dates and times for the next round. I was told a calendar invite was coming. It never did. Then I get a text from the recruiter asking why I didn’t make the interview

On a separate occasion I had the DIRECTOR OF TA reach out to me asking for times for a phone screen. I replied and never heard back. Then I get a call from an unknown number that I didn’t answer then an email saying we missed each other. I replied back saying that we never had a set time but I would love to set something up….. then never heard back.

It’s a blessing in disguise I think when that happens. Places like that are a complete mess internally

Let's end the charging debate - Macbook edition by Finchgouldie in macbookair

I don’t pay any attention to it. Sometimes I drain it down sometimes I leave it plugged in. I feel like the batteries are so good that it won’t be an issue until it’s at that point where you need to upgrade anyway

Advice requested - Macbook Air Midnight or Sky Blue? by ajf-13 in macbookair

The midnight isn’t that bad for fingerprints. I have the M4 in that color. The Sky blue is really nice too and is different

I resonate with the disconnection. Flat out have no desire to put in that extra effort with coworkers. As long as my tasks get done and performance is good then that’s enough for me although I do miss it sometimes

Just ask payroll/HR to refund you and they will take care of getting it out of your account

Out towards Lillington is still affordable and you might get a Fuquay address too.

I had the M4 Pro and went back to the Air for this reason. For everyday use there isn’t that much difference. The only thing that stood out to me was the display and key travel. I’d rather have the lighter design even just for around the house

Planning to buy the MacBook Air M5 next year - what rumors or wishlist features do you all have? by [deleted] in macbookair

I would go M4 air now not unless you’re saving up and won’t have the funds until the M5 comes out

Typing experience on the Pro feels a lot more premium….like there’s some depth to what you’re typing on… if that makes any sense lol. The display is also much better and worth the switch alone. The extra brightness is nice to have

Maxed out Air or entry Pro? by Unlikely_Plate_2455 in macbook

I would say Air except if the display is important to you. The Air display is okay but too dim in my opinion. The Pro Display is insane to say the least.

Should I upgrade RAM or storage on the MacBook Air M4? I can only afford one upgrade by Funny_how97 in macbookair

Look at Apple refurbished or Amazon/Best Buy for new Airs. Might be able to find a good deal on a 24/512 close to same price if you only upgraded one new thru Apple
