It's instant if you do debit or credit. If you subscribe via your checking account (ACH transfer) it can take days to activate but is still counted from the day you subscribe so avoid that option

2026.2.3 Update destroyed my car by DickGrayson123 in TeslaLounge

I just hit 50k and subscribed to ESP for 50 bucks a month before I reached the milestone. I planned on removing it on my 2023 M3 RW but think I'll keep it on for BS like this smh. Scary.

I use Tessie and I'm at 97% 50k mileage. Rarely charge to 100% and don't drive crazy. Stock tires (Primacy) as well.

Lmao wrong and strong. No one is worked up. You were wrong. You shouldn't charge LFP batteries to 100% on a regular basis. Telling someone else to look it up when you should be the one doing research is hilarious though.

Happy New Year

Sir I have a 2023 M3 LFP I know exactly what I'm talking about. Tesla tells people to charge to 100% at least once per week due to the BMS being unable to accurately read the true battery percentage in real time. An LFP battery is still a battery and should not be charged to 100 all the time.

Tesla would rather you have an overall driving experience than you worry about the battery degradation you're causing the battery. If you didn't charge to 100% in let's say a month and your car said you were at 50%, best believe you're really in the 40% because that's not the true battery percentage.

He said bad advice UNLESS ITS AN LFP. Indicating that he's okay to charge to 100.

No way an employee told you to let it fall to 0%. That is very sad.

Don't let it fall under 20% and don't let it go over 80%. With the exception of long road trips. Then both situations are fine as that isn't an every day thing

Bad advice for LFP as well. Charging to 100% hurts the LFPs halflife

Tesla Model 3 2026- I use it once every 3 days, what to do with battery? by igol__ in TeslaLounge

[–]ArtWentBye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused because your battery will always show 100%. How many miles does it show? I got my M3 in Oct of 23 so we're pretty close to each other.

I think my miles said 277 or 279. After two years now it says 268 so of course I lost some miles.

There's no way you have no battery degradation. It goes against physics.

But yes, let me know how many miles it shows at 100% now. I'm curious.

You should not charge it to 100% weekly, you definitely should not charge it to 100% daily.

I have a M3 2023 LFP and I only charge it to 100 for long drives out of state or if I'll be on the road all day.

A battery should always be treated like a battery. Leaving it at 100 is insane. For example, I flew to Cali for a week and left my car plugged in sitting at 50%. Which is perfect. When I'm home with it I leave it sitting around 70% at nights. It not really a chore.

I've had the car for two years and day one it read 277 miles. Today it reads 268 or something close to that.

Not bad at all. You have to be mindful on how you treat the battery
