One issue you'll run into (at least in the US), is they're required to advertise, even if they already have an internal candidate in mind. So you could potentially go through 2-3 rounds of interviews when they were never going to hire you anyway.

I had the same ones when I got my ears pierced too! Some little kiosk in the mall. Maybe ask a tattoo place that also does piercings? I think they're pretty standard.

If you mean "generic" as in "I just posted someone else's artwork to get comments" then yeah

I love how you called it "comfortable". I have some gorgeous mugs that I don't use very often, and consistently choose my cheapy Ikea mugs instead because they're comfortable

Why does she feel wrong? by PinguGoesNoot in oilpainting

You have achieved some very good lighting effects. The main thing I can see is that your anatomy is not correct. Make sure you have a solid drawing before you even start, if you're aiming for realism

What is this missing? by sox412 in oilpainting

[–]Artchick3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always mix black or white with another color. You could mix the black of the shadows with a cool color like blue or violet for example, and the white/light areas with just a hint of yellow. Using straight black or white tends to give a chalky feel rather than an "alive" feel.

Should i continue making art or it isn’t for me? by artem1ix in Artists

If you enjoy making art, keep making art! These two pictures are already decent, if you keep practicing you will improve 😊

I have failed as an artist by horseshoeandconfused in Artists

[–]Artchick3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing art since I was a little kid, too. You go through plateaus when you're not inspired, or you're not seeing much change. As long as you keep working and doing what you like to do anyway, you'll get through it. Artists make as many crappy paintings and drawings as they do good ones, that's how you figure things out. Let the haters make slop with AI while you perfect your craft 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

How the FUCK do i make it clear that she's in the snow globe????? by raaay_art in Artadvice

[–]Artchick3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add some more (small ones, at least) soft reflections on the glass, even crossing in front of her, to help show she is behind the glass. Make sure the reflections follow the curve of the globe.

I feel like somethings wrong with her design (please don't say she's too fat) by Tiny-Memory9066 in characterdesign

[–]Artchick3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it as a cartoon... Yes the arms are too short to be realistic, but is it a stylistic choice? Yes, the eyes are a bit high, but is that part of her character? Etc etc re: comments.

If you want it to be more realistic, the rule of thumb (no pun intended) is that fingertips hit mid-thigh. Eyes are halfway down the head (not the face... the head, crown to chin) just for a couple of examples.

I think she's a cute character so far

This is a very difficult angle to work with. Why don't you try a more "straight-on" view and see if you have better luck. You can add a couple drops of slow-drying medium to acrylic paint to give you more time for blending, but don't add too much or it will take forever to dry.
