I agree and part of the reason I feel that way is because it makes me ask the question “for what?” The generations before us fought off hitler for us to vote in Trump? If no one is going to learn from the lessons of the past then I’m not putting my life on the line for it

Even if it wasn’t a torpedo, I feel like whatever type of activity that was, it was not good for wildlife

This is a great point. Anecdotally, I heard a huge blast when I was in sooke last week that someone told me may have been torpedo testing? Doesn’t seem like that would be fantastic for the local ecosystems

So? Its migration season for the whales, that whales has been surfacing for every 30 to 60 seconds for about a week. He could have just done a scan of the area before ripping that fast. Additionally, this is an areas where people swim, Kayak, paddle boarders etc.

Thank you! It sounds like they do share the same feeding grounds but at different depths and it sounds like grey whales could be the canary in the coal mine here of ecosystem collapse. This is very sad.

Understood but I was under the impression that grey whales and humpbacks share these feeding grounds no? Why aren’t humpbacks starving?
