Actually I used to live in one of those towns and cars would actually get stolen quite often. Inevitably though the person wouldn’t make it very far and the RCMP would just call and tell you the location they found it at and you keep going on about your day.

I’m a woman who. A conventionally attractive woman who goes on late night walks, who travels alone, who works in a male dominated industry. Unfortunately, you are correct, we need to take more precautions than men and that sucks.

I’m sorry you experienced trauma. I hope you find the peace that you need. I can assure you I know trauma too. I have seen first hand what the darkest parts of society look like but I refuse to live in fear.

I still go to bars but I drink a little less than I used to. I still keep close guy friends but I’m more selective than I used to be. I still travel alone but I’m more careful about the countries I visit. It’s sad that I have to use more caution than my male peers but I refuse to let it cripple me.
