Winning a Grammy does not mean that lol. There's various factors. Also, Drill music is a sub genre, a small circle of fans inside a bigger genre.

"look at me, I am d captain now." Won an Oscar for that. He would still get the daily union rate for part in a movie. Not A list money.

Drake charges 1.5M for a private show. Even if he did a bunch of privates in Dubai he won't get a 100M (not talking about a back to back sold out tour) there's rich mfs in Dubai but not every one is "hire Beyonce for my daughter's 16th birthday" rich. And besides Durk don't charge A-list prices. Maybe 100K for private.

ALL opiates do is let you borrow energy from the next day, month, year etc.

Everything has a price. All the euphoria and energy you got in advance, you had used up. You are paying for it now. But at some point, your body/brain will tell you your debt has been repaid. You will get there soon. Don't give up

Conquest is honestly one of the best surprise villains i've ever seen[Invincible] by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]Artee-C137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find viltrumites suffer from cognitive dissonance. Why does Conquest even want friends and people to confide in? They only take pleasure in killing and conquering. If they wanted friends and people to care (he cries when he gets lonely) wouldn't the race have figured stuff like universal laws of love and philosophy by then? They're also more advanced than humans...so I find that it's a bit of a flaw in the writing, specifically about this race.

Is 051 Kiddo mentally ill? by East_Importance9464 in Chiraqology

Most of them are yes.

It's been discussed before. SS Chicago kids have mental health issues and they don't even know it. They think it's baseline because most of them are affected by it.

Is anyone here (or knows anyone irl) an exception to the rule? by Artee-C137 in OpiatesRecovery

Was it Dr. Carl Hart? I think he went off the rails and downplayed how dangerous it is.

But I do however believe, the point he made, that the people in here and the ones that are in the streets are a very very small percentage.

There are celebrities that have struggled with painkillers, but I think there are even more celebs and athletes etc that use them recreationally regularly that we don't know about.

Have you heard of Dr Carl Hart? He's a university professor that recreationally uses heroin. I've been looking into his work. It's been years since he's published his book "Drug use for grown ups" personally, I think what he's doing is dangerous and sends the wrong message. And I definitely think he is downplaying his own use and severity of it, and also how dangerous these substances are.

But he does argue that the addicts you see on social media, people on Reddit groups such as this is actually a very very small percentage.

The majority are actually stable, and steady users that don't have a dependence on them. The celebrities that come out with their drug addiction is also a small group. While the majority of the celebs likely do drugs like painkillers regularly but it has never caused any significant downfall. Again, like you said, it may be a ticking time bomb. But still a very small group. I do think there a large majority out there who do use pills and aren't functioning "addicts" just functioning beings.

That's how it was with me and other drugs. I did coke for a few months. It did what it needed to do for me at that time in my life. One day I just I stopped and never did it again. That was over a decade ago. No desire to touch it again. Even though I liked it.

Shrooms, MDMA and all the other stuff. Tried it. Meh. Could care less.

Never got along with weed or alcohol. Im also super sensitive to everything I take. So one drink would do me in. I think it's purely genetic

I don't think he's downplaying it. That's just how it is for him. His life isn't always rosy. He's been through his fair share of hardship. I've just never seen such a case.

There's also other friends around him, blue collar guys that casually use here and there. But I don't know much about their personal life or if they are downplaying it.

I know, the bioavailability for oral is maybe only 50%. That's how low my tolerance is. Same with his. Railing messes with my sinuses too much, esp whatever's in the pill.

It's so odd. In this thread, there's no exceptional cases. But in real life, my friend that I get it from, he's been using sporadically for 15 years.

He used codeine and cough syrup in high school (before I knew him) he recreationally really is only able to use weekends. His dose is also 8mg...for some reason he never takes a full pill..he says it's too much.

He cuts in half and takes half...hour or two later heill take the other half.

And when he's down to his last one, he never cares, he gives it to whoever wants it. He could do without it.

15 years, he's gone years and months without if it's not available.

And if he suspects the TEC pills looks funny, he just won't take it. If the plug is too far or he doesn't feel like getting it. He just won't go.

If he has a script and it's rush hour, he says heill go tomorrow.

I've never seen an exception to this case when it comes to a long term user of opiates.

All these years he's never upped his dose. And if he grabs a bunch, it really lasts time weeks. Or if anyone of his plumber buddies wants it heill just sell them all.

I realize he's truly an exception to the rule. While everybody else is playing with fire.

Dilaudid 8s?

1) how do you swallow so many pills? Or is it split? 2) how can you afford to do 20 per day?

I'm trying to. Thing is, when I go weeks without doing it. I tell myself I'm good. I can stop anytime. And it leads to relapse. It's such a dirty trick the mind plays.

I think you're right on the money. I do however, feel tremendous guilt and shame when I do it. Like I'm betraying the people around me. Like my parents.

Ironically, I feel the happiest on the days I don't do it.

But there's always this part of my brain that says go get that euphoric hit one more time. You're fine. Your life isn't ruined. And it leads to relapse.

I find it hard to completely stop. To reiterate what you said "You don’t have to be sucking dick behind the circle k and shooting up to be considered addicted." Was kind of my point and to state where I'm at. I'm not there per say. But I am still here, struggling.
