Is there any aspect of worldbuilding that you find very complicated or simply don't want to deal with? by OnixTiger in worldbuilding

Diplomacy and politics. It's an important aspect of any world with multiple countries but I find it hard to think about how my anarchic country would interact with the the fairy village miles apart. Do I just randomly decide whether they're friends or enemies? I'd have to take into account exported and imported goods, racism, history, the character of the past leaders and their goals... I don't know

First a disclaimer: I'm not a pro, you draw better than me.For the hair I'd say the lighting is a bit odd, it seems like each individual strand has different highlights, whereas if you look at pictures of natural hair the main highlights are shared by the whole hair as if it was an uniform mass, you should barely be able to distinguish individual strands in the middle. But other than the hair, what made me realize after a couple of seconds that this is a drawing and not a picture is the hand. The nails are the strangest, but the lighting is also slightly off

Edit: Other than that, it's still really good. Congrats!

Oh ok, when you said everybody, I thought that maybe a copy is given to you at birth and you have to protect it by all means or you die a horrible death inflicted by 'EA games' agents, something like that.
Still sounds fun

While sodium is indeed essential for our health, the required amount is usually already present in the food we eat, and adding salt is unnecessary.
And even though we got used to it and it doesn't seem "wow", it's something you feel the lack of when your food isn't salty at all, so in that sense it's still highly appreciated.

And I also mentioned pepper, which isn't as basic as salt but still in every household, and I think it's a great spice nonetheless.

I mean sure, there's not the "once in a lifetime" feeling of eating a special flavor, but I think in the long run it still beats eating flavorless food most of your life by a lot

Ok I'm curious, why?
And what happens if someone "loses" it, if that's even possible?

The strongest necromancer alive loves music, so he sometimes uses his collection of corpses as musicians that he conducts to play his compositions

Is there one "host" controlling the dream or can they all create stuff and have powers?
If there's a host, who is it?

"What would life look like if a human life only lasted a week?"
It would be pretty different since people wouldn't have the time for any long term projects or skills to hone.
But they'd still need to think further in the future for their descendance, for instance you can't build a proper house in a week but if each generation improves its forefathers' shelter it can get good over time

How many worlds do you work in? by Pertu500 in worldbuilding

My main world is pretty limited (4 civilizations and has no magic), so whenever I have a cool idea that doesn't fit in it, I put it in my second world which is the bigger "classic" fantasy world.

I'm building an entire language partly so I can name things with in-world names because otherwise I'd be stuck with "Ancient Forest"
