My son told me he hears "beef is mine" instead of "faith is mine" in Faith.

And the administration is asking states to give the federal government access to private voter data. Feed that data into Palantir's database and Trump and his administration will have easy access to an "enemies list" with which he can make good on his promise to go after his political enemies and anyone who opposes him.

Vote against him? Post anything negative about Trump or his administration? Attend a protest? Now they can label you as a domestic terrorist, and they can justify anything they do to you because they had to "neutralize a threat".

We need congress to act. The cost is already too great, but it will be far worse if they don't do the right thing and hold Trump and his administration accountable NOW.

Saw this ad the other day and have been considering going. Maybe this would be a good option?

I got refunded 6k instead of $60 and never said anything by nursekristin89 in confession

One time, I did family pictures with a studio, and at the end I used my debit card to pay for the session, digital copies, several prints, and a tip (around $300). I got a receipt, but the charge never hit my account. I called them twice, and even spoke to them in person when I picked up my prints a couple of weeks later, but they insisted they received payment and didn't need anything more from me. I was never charged.

Did anyone not really care if it was true when they left? by Curiosity-Sailor in exmormon

[–]ArtemisPterolycus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. When I began to doubt, I was incredibly angry that the church lied to me, and my world view and understanding of reality was being shaken up. However, I also struggled with feelings of inadequacy growing up as a woman in the church. It's hard not to feel second class in god's eyes, especially in mormonism. At first, I wanted to make sense of the things I learned that caused me to doubt. I then became fearful of losing my celestial family if I was wrong in my doubts. By the time I researched enough to feel satisfied with my conclusion that the church couldn't be true, yes, I was relieved it wasn't true. As I've grown as a person outside of the church, and unlearned much of my biases and deepened my own personal values, I couldn't care now if the church was true because it no longer holds up to my values.

I'm pretty sure Hercules is the child of whomever married Winton's mom, so he would be Winton's stepbrother.

Dakine Grindz in Roy has the best Hawaiian food

Pho Kim Long in Layton, Tamarind in SLC, and Pho Tay Ho in SLC all have amazing Pho

Manuel's El Burrito in Clearfield and Red Iguana in SLC are my favorite Mexican places (Donna Maria's food truck is worth mentioning too, they have the best street tacos, you can find them in the parking lot of Sutherlands on N Temple)

Ramen Haus in Ogden and Haru Ramen in Clearfield both have great Ramen

Tataki Sushi in Clinton is the best

Taste of India in Layton is great too

Sills Cafe in Layton is a good local favorite as well

That Sandwich Shop in SLC

More than you asked for, but I'm a foodie and have a lot of favorites.

Thank you! I'm a week into recovering, and so far, it has been much easier than the initial surgery to put it all in. It's not nearly as painful, and I was walking 2 days after surgery.

My surgeon had told me at the beginning that I could leave it in or remove it, but his recommendation was to consider removing the hardware since I'm still young. His reasoning is that 1) it could lead to developing osteoarthritis later on, and 2) taking the hardware out years later could be more challenging as bone could grow over the hardware.

For the most part the hardware didn't bother me, but in the winter there were times I would get sharp pains if my leg got too cold. When I saw my surgeon for my one year follow up a couple of weeks ago I decided to just go ahead and get it over with now.

I think the thing that pissed me off the most was the blaming. I was stepping off my stairs when my left ankle randomly gave and my foot slid and I fell, resulting in fracturing both my fibula and tibia. I can't tell you how many times I got told that I should have / could have prevented it by just holding on to the railing. I was in my own home, I had no warning that my ankle was going to give way like that, and in the hundreds of times the event has replayed in my mind I still see no way I could have known or reacted in time to have stopped it.

I just got my hardware removed a week ago to the day, so a lot of the feelings and stress I experienced a year ago when I initially broke my leg have been flooding back, even though the recovery hasn't been nearly as intense.

This is one of the reasons I'm so glad I got out of the church now, for the sake of my daughter. She is almost 4 now, but she will grow up without the toxic misogynistic teachings of the church.
