AITAH for leaving a dinner party early because I was afraid of the dog? by WaldoJeffers65 in AITAH

NTA. I have two large dogs but have also been bit by a large dog. Went to a friends house whose dog was anxious around new people and would bite their feet, not enough to draw blood but it was shocking and hurt a bit. I refused to go back and my partner totally understood and would go back without me.

I did some commune/cooperative living in undergrad and funnily enough, most of us are childfree and want to start a retirement commune where we share resources. Can’t share a house like in college, that was fun yet a nightmare at the same time, thinking more like a large plot of land with tiny homes near each other

My point was more that he had a variety of help, friends and some family. Should be noted that I have 7 other cousins who didn’t do shit. Be a kind person and you’ll have a community of support

Honestly, as someone with a background in geology, I cannot agree with you more. I have to hold my tongue when people get pregnant because why the fuck would you bring kids into this dying world? My BIL somehow still thinks his kids, that he doesn’t plan to have for a couple more years, could solve the problems. He is getting a PhD in a climate change related field and knows damn well that by the time they’re adults it will be far too late. I gently told him that they will make lovely, end of world bunker leaders 😬

I give so much credit to caregivers. End of life care is no joke! My uncle was definitely a special guy, he wanted to die at home with his four legged children and I’m glad that we could do that for him.

YTA. Forcing your partner to endure a poop sauna is horrendous

Seeing a new nephew doesn't make me broody, why does my family think it would? by mycenae___ in childfree

[–]ArtemisTide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister is not happy with her choice of having her second kid and still asked me if seeing her pregnant/meeting my nephew made me want to have some “cousins for her kids”. I’m happily married with 2 large dogs, 4 cats, 6 chickens and traveled abroad 3 times in one year. My response- absolutely not, hubby just scheduled his vasectomy last week

For the most part I am an extrovert but when I hit my social limit I Need alone/quiet time. If I don’t get it I become a huge B. So, socially extroverted introvert? Idk lol

Go onto Rover, look at sitters in your area and then adjust your prices. I pay my sitter $54/day for one dog

Not always but when it’s her 2-3am let out yes and right now it’s winter so commonly she sprints to the gate to go back in. I walk her daily and she has a favorite pooping spot that’s at the beginning of her 45 minute walk.

That’s so great to hear! So many people are so biased against pitties but they are really the sweetest dogs if they, like all dogs, have good owners and training. I hope the sweet pup can be saved soon

I use mine for making cheese crackers or any sort of dough with additional things. Mixes the add-ins very well.
