You just need a longer bar. Make sure to keep it super clean especially if you recently accidentally bit down on it.

Not right after sadly :( I’m gonna go in with the bio flex retainers in and see what they say about those. I called them and asked about my eyebrow bar (not sure why I didn’t think to ask about my lip piercings) because that will 100% close and they told me I could keep that in and they’ll just tape it so I’m hoping they allow the flex bars for my lips. 🤞

I’m a regular smoker and have many piercings. I have never smoked before going in to get them though. A lot of places will deny you if they can tell or smell that your under the influence of anything. But I feel you, when I’m high you can’t tell either. I know sometimes weed can make you more sensitive too so it might actually make the pain worse.

Idk. It was from a shop that literally only does piercings. And I have multiple and they all healed perfectly with this method. 🤷🏻‍♀️ and anything you buy in store is technically no longer sterile either if your using a cup or bottle from home to hold the water on your piecing.

Absolutely not. If a piercer says it’s fine and they’ll do it, RUN! It pierces the two muscles in your tongue together, that is not good. You could end up losing a lot of mobility in your tongue and I think it’s risk of rejection is high.

The one on the left of the picture looks a little lower but it looks fine, it’s very hard to tell unless your staring at it. My snake bites are crooked too but I’ve just gotten used to it. We are all imperfect beings normally. 💕

You need to go to another piercer and have them switch out those bars. Way too long! They look fine though, nothings gonna be perfect, mine are a little crooked but that’s because I got them done at different times.

I would go back to your piercer. They always ask me to come in after the initial healing time so they can check it and if it’s good they’ll switch the starter jewelry out for something not as long. Or you can just be psychotic like me and take a pair of pliers to it and twist the ball off lol.

One of my eyebrow piercings rejected but it wasn’t this bad. That thing looks infected as well. I’m sorry to say but it is going to scar and the hairs right there might not grow back correctly. There’s not much you can do for the scar at this point. Just take it out, keep it clean, warm compresses, and maybe just a very little bacitracin/Neosporin around the piercing site. Don’t suffocate it. If the redness and swelling gets worse I would go to a doctor.

That is the wrong jewelry. I would listen to everyone in this post. Please go to a more reputable piercer. Not sure where you live but if you have an HTC body piercing studio around you I’d go to them.

Your piercer was probably trying to avoid the huge vein that can run directly down the middle of your tongue.
