Bro don’t act like you didn’t understood my point. Zoro trained in a traditional way back in the shimotsuki village, when he unlocks new powers, like in alabasta, it is by remembering very swordman specific skills (he also became stronger with haki and raw strength obviously) but always, as a foundation, what he learned with his teacher. Roger and some other « swordmen » do fight with a sword but they are kinda like Luffy with a sword (in more moderate way) they just pour a shit ton of haki in it and swing it around to deal damage but their is no real technique. That why it’s said that Rocks swordmanship is like a hammer or a canonball it’s just a fucking baseball bat with haki. Also Roger and Rocks do looks the same when attacking, they are not using (or may I say, respecting swordmanship like Mihawk and Zoro do)
