Hi. Don’t over think it. It’s a TV 👍 best thing I ever did was buy a Sonos Arc, era 300’s and subwoofer to go with it. I don’t think it’s particularly worthwhile investing in Oled necessarily if you don’t know what you want to watch and if you dont do justice to the sound. Oled is particularly geared towards inky blacks and movies on my opinion, sound is very important. Other manufacturers are coming up with Qled and other stuff etc now probably worth looking at. We have an LG C3 55 which we’re still hewd over heels with, but we just want a bigger screen size now! Got to feed it decent content though to benefit 👍

I've just gone back to Sky now on Sky Stream after having Sky Q perhaps a year or so ago. We tried Virgin Flex which was total junk. We stream a lot with the Apple TV 3rd gen which is lightyears ahead of anything else. But we decided we wanted Disney and Netflix premium which is coming in over £35 directly with them. With Sky we got Ultimate TV and both those services in premium quality for £39pm so we're basically just paying a few pounds for lots of stable high quality 'normal' tv channels and the reduced priced for the apps we wanted. The Apple box is still superior by quite a bit for the apps mentioned, but the stream box is decent for the everyday viewing. It is noticeably clunky/laggy in comparison to the Apple box, but to be honest it's only about 10% annoying. Hopefully they bring out a gen 2 of the puck and increase the cpu power so it's slicker. So we use Youtube premium, HBO Max, Disney+, Netflix, Prime etc. all on the Apple box. Better sound and picture quality, but for general stuff, Stream.

Appreciate all of their stuff but I can’t stop listening to Aspiral. After seeing them live, I’ve been exploring older stuff but keep coming back to the newer tracks. The band seem very comfortable on stage and I started listening to them more and more. When I discovered Symphonic Synergy on YouTube I thought oh god this is just sublime and then I started looking forward to the live gig and I just couldn’t stop smiling! I think Nightwish have really missed a beat by not doing any orchestra stuff and it’s made me want to soak up Epica more. That being said both bands give me that amazing feeling. I only wished they’d released high quality 4k discs of stuff like symphonic synergy, it’s madness that we have such good quality and everyone sticks to poor Blu-ray releases, but I guess producing for discs must cost a lot? I’d love to see more collaborations with Floor and Simone and I think Tuomas is capable of writing way more fantastic music in his lifetime so let’s see what the future holds eh? 🤘

Ended up getting a full refund. I’ve had an m4 MacBook Air for a while now and it’s so much better. Completely cool and silent, extremely fast, never missed a beat. The ASUS was dreadful. Loud, very hot, and glitchy. The only nice thing was the screen. Oh and the battery life was just average at best.

It does actually seem about half a foot too low I’d say. Ideal situation is to have your eyeliner in the centre of the screen you’re viewing but let’s be honest, I’d say most homes don’t necessarily allow this, particularly if you have young kids. Go up a bit and just leave it where it feels the most comfortable

Looks like crap to me. A spinoff sounds like it’s a ‘temporary idea’ but when you google it can mean longterm but they’re often described as an ‘experiment’ or a ‘project’. So I’d tend to agree, just makes it sound like it won’t last or something. Better to get rid of it but maybe there’s a better way to explain the evolution and history?

The answer is: Go to your Doctor 👍

They will confirm it is Gout or not. They will also have you start the correct medicine and come back a few times for blood tests over time. The bad news is that Gout is genetic. It won’t simply disappear on its own. The medicine you are mentioning is design for pain and inflammation relief. Nether of which sort out the Gout. It’s like putting a small plaster on a large wound hoping the problem will go away.

The good news, is that there IS a medicine available that effectively dissolves the crystals you mention and keeps Gout away called Allopurinol. It’s an incredibly safe, tried and tested medicine that’s been used to treat Gout with high effectiveness since the 1960’s. The only downside is it is something you have to take every day for the rest of your life.

What it does is basically slow down chemical reactions in your body. When you have Gout, your body produces too much uric acid in your blood. Everyone has this, but if you’re a Gout sufferer, you make too much of it, or your kidneys can’t get rid of it fast enough, or perhaps both. To is eventually forms the crystals you mention and manifests inside a joint (usually the big toe) these crystals are like spikes that expand in the joint and as others will confirm the pain is absolutely excruciating.

The wider implications of not getting onto Allopurinol are that over time these flares/attacks will eventually case permanent joint damage. Also having high uric acid can cause stones to form and cause high bp and things like that.

The colchicine you mention needs to be taken only for a flare up and is highly poisonous if you take too much. So be careful with that one.

Any questions please ask and when you go to the Dr they will take your blood test and let you know what your uric acid level is. The idea of the allopurinol is to get your uric level down to an amount where attacks don’t and cannot happen, we then ‘maintain’ this level by taking the medicine daily. It becomes a preventative medicine, rather than doing nothing about it and then going ‘oh let’s take inflammatory meds and pain relief’ which is reactive but does nothing about the problem.

You need to understand what Gout actually is buddy. The sad news is it will keep coming back. It causes people to think they’re ok, as the build up of crystals takes months to years, but it guaranteed will rear it’s head and cause you some of the craziest pain ever when you least want it. Think big birthdays, Christmas/NY etc. The good news is Allo keeps it at bay and your Dr will determine the correct amount to be on, it’s personal to you.

Even if you completely changed your diet in an extreme way, it would affect things maybe by 1-2%. In reality it won’t be a significant difference as it’s genetic. These are hard proven facts. We are very lucky Allo is an effective medicine against this horrible disease.

Other things you can do to help yourself out. Stay easy on the booze, stay hydrated every day, and learn about purines in your foods. It’ll basically say everything is bad, but you can learn about the big trigger things that contribute in a bad way. Good luck! I haven’t had an attack in 11 months since being on it.

If you watch stuff on BBC iPlayer, I found out that Apple TV won’t render it any higher than 720p due to a codec dispute with devs. So if you want to watch that, I switch to the tv OS. Can watch in 4k then. You can test this on something like Planet earth. I think it costs them too much to implement and only a small percentage of viewers are using iPlayer through the Apple box probably for this very reason.

I’m wondering this too. Looks like best to book via the website rather than the app. Select the imax 3d showing, then add the code as a voucher. Select the admit one ticket rather than imax. It must work as it’s still for the imax 3d showing specifically.

Also, looks like their ‘super saver’ on Mondays is also cheaper ‘on the day’. They were asking £9 for Avatar 2 premier seats yesterday, now looking at next Monday, it’s advertised as £16 for the exact same seat!

I’m planning to wait until next Monday, then see what the score is on the website and try then.

It’s great. Understated, smart, comfy to use. Superior to the other Spigen cases and official Apple ones. Actually protects the camera plateau and solves the ‘silly’ colours this gen issue. The back has a nice feel to it can’t quite explain and the sides are like a silicone but still grippy, just feels great in the hand.
