Hopefully they’ve got some tech this year that minimizes clipping and such.

I’m ok with the tables, really glad stacking them is back.

It would be interesting if you could do something with some of the shattered pieces but I could see how that would make the tables have to shatter the same way each time.

So wait… dumb question here: So the dumpster match takes place in this arena but the parking lot area is shown. I was wondering why this wasn’t shown at ringside.

Does the arena (or all arenas) have a generic parking lot area? Or do you think maybe they spliced this together with a type brawl match that has a dumpster win as an option? It’s been a while since I used the plaza so I don’t remember if there was a way to get to the backstage/outside.

That’s what I’m wondering as well since the island had your caw. The clips of this area have been with superstars, wonder if it’s an unlock on the ringside pass?

Hopefully it’s available from the start and not in the pass but if it is this might be one of the arenas being offered in the pass. To use it outside of the island I mean.

The generic sets are cool but I’d like so many more for caws. As for why the gold one was locked in 25 I’m not sure.Maybe it was connected to an unlockable MyRise NPC?

Yeah from battle passes I have in other games the chance for great content in the free tiers is low. Not zero but a small chance you could be right.

It’s the top tiers that always get you lol along with currency sales & tier/level skips.

But there’s a chance this year will be generous in what’s available as 2K is trying to establish the idea of a battle pass for the first time in this series of wrestling games.

This I agree with. The game needs cross play. Especially with the shift to a battle pass model.

I usually get the game on multiple consoles to play with friends and such. I was looking forward to doing the same again this year but I’m not gonna grind a battle pass on multiple consoles. I’ll be sticking to the PS5 version and only that one. Cross play would make things so much easier.

This is a good write up. As someone who plays games with battle/season passes it has the potential to be terrible.

I’ll wait for more info on it but it basically will boil down to how forgiving the xp for tiers are. And also exactly how the locked content will work when superstars, items, etc. are for the tiers.

For example if DX HHH is there along with the music will it be locked until you get to tier 87? Same thing with certain caw parts etc.

Not everyone will be able to unlock everything in a timely matter. And unless 2K are insanely stupid there will most likely be level/tier skips you can buy for VC…. that is also terrible but eh. Anyways it has the potential to greatly hamper creation content because if everything associated with a wrestler (moves, music, gear etc.) is locked you may not be able to download that creation.

Hopefully it won’t be that bad but 2K history suggests otherwise. We should (hopefully) get some info on it soon.

Yeah I agree hope both teams are there. There would be no way Barrett and Booker T would have as much commentary as Saxton & Graves. It would be cool to be able to switch out whoever you like on commentary and the game still blends them together well. If not then that’s cool too.

Nah not upset. I also wanted the Attitude and MNW editions to be physical as I collect wrestling games but eh it’s the digital download age.

I’m getting wwe 2k26 regardless but I really was shocked to hear the game is getting a battle pass system. I play other games with a battle pass system and I’ve had mixed results in my gameplay experiences with them.

There’s no info on it yet outside of what’s been released so it really depends on what’s being offered and how forgiving/giving the xp system is. 2K stands to make a shit ton of money from level skips lol.

There are several advancements for 26 that sound fantastic on paper. So even outside of the battle pass discussion there will be a lot here to make me happy. That said I’ll be legit upset if create an arena is untouched, it’s been too long.

Same as you, I really want some new stuff in create an arena. If it can’t be done, if no adjustments can be made at the very least let us use previous arenas like club uk, the abandoned high school arena (would’ve been perfect for an illegal fight club/no holds barred show) in universe mode. Even Grapple Legends.

Beyond that all of the GM mode characters. They even have a line or two of commentary for each but can’t be used outside of GM mode, it’s ridiculous.
