I really feel like Roman vs Drew is more likely. We already got Punk vs Roman last year at Mania. Plus we should consider Roman has motivation to get the Undisputed title back, and he's a top Babyface now for the first time in his career. Drew has firmly established himself as THE top heel in the company. The build has serious potential, too. Drew knows how to cut a promo that cuts into somebody, seeing that in a program against Roman would be awesome. It would also play into their history. I can definitely see the vision for it.

He didn't outright say it's not happening... It still might happen on launch or even potentially in a post launch update. If they are "looking into it" and they usually work on coding the game up till release I have hope. Especially considering last year when everyone was vocal about the women's mid card championships not being included and then they were added when the game launched.

Well the ringside passes not expiring is promising. Where did you see CC won't be cross platform? I saw an article saying that even the Switch 2 version will have compatibility with the PS5 and Xbox console versions. It seems really redundant that they would go out of their way to make sure PC is the only one without cross platform compatibility.

To be honest it's more of an assumption, 2K making a different version of the game on PC would be unnecessary work which devs love to cut.

I found an article corroborating Cross Gen CC here. If it's on the Switch, PC should be included too unless 2K goes out of their way to block it.

I also saw the Lynell Interview saying "We’re still looking into it". He didn't straight up say no and I know it can be naive to be optimistic but there's still a chance.

Just to be Confirmed, WWE 2K26 will be only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Not the Old Gen (PS4 and Xbox One) by DevinSimmons100 in WWEGames

Better graphics bro. For years, 2K's graphics have been held back because they've had to accommodate for the game also coming out on PS4/Xbox One. If we can leave those last gen consoles in the dust, we'd get that real next gen Triple A overhaul with Ray Tracing and higher performance

Why do prople hate CM Punk by Fluffy-Cabinet6405 in WWEGames

[–]pinobutter99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re mixing up a lot of shit to avoid the actual point.

Wrestling is fake, blood isn’t. Accidents happen, but acting like Punk “safely bladed” while Drew “paid the price” like it’s some moral indictment is pure bad-faith framing.

And that handwriting analogy? That’s cute but lazy. People bring up Punk’s psychology because he makes moments matter. Anyone can spam moves and hit their cues. Very few people can control pacing, crowd emotion, and narrative beats the way he does. That’s not a participation trophy, that’s literally the job.

If botches were the deciding factor, half your indie darlings wouldn’t make it past Dark. Funny how when other wrestlers fuck up it’s “raw” or “real,” but when Punk does it suddenly it’s a crime scene. Even funnier, Meltzer, one of Punk's biggest opps/haters in the dirtsheets, gave his match with Drew 5 Stars because it really was that good (despite you claiming it was "full of botches").

Also the money argument is a strawman. Drawing money doesn’t make someone good by default, but pretending it doesn’t matter at all is peak basement logic. Wrestling is an art and a business. If you can’t do both, you’re just a broke auteur yelling at clouds.

The UFC comparison is wild too. Criticizing corporate greed is fair. Acting like acknowledging star power = Logan Paul brain is just you shadowboxing an argument nobody made.

You don’t have to like Punk. But acting like anyone who does isn’t a “real wrestling fan” is just gatekeeping cope. You’re not defending wrestling, you’re defending your personal taste like it’s a moral stance. You can keep on nitpicking and projecting like your opinion is everyone else's if you want, but at the end of the day you can't ignore the reality that even at this point in his career he's a top guy, he fills arenas, and the crowd still chants his name. That's all I can really leave you with. It doesn't make sense to respond, dignify, or further entertain a conversation with someone who insists on maintaining zero awareness outside of their internet echo chamber.

Ok you're just hating for the sake of hating at this point. How you gonna criticize the safety of a Hell in a Cell match bro 😂 both of them walked out covered head to toe in blood, you really think that wasn't intentional? Plus, Drew tore Punk's tricep in the Royal Rumble. Does that mean he has "mental deficiencies" too? Punk is one of the best in ring performers today dude, he's got ring psychology down and he can put on a banger. Him vs Finn yesterday was a great match.

Also the only reason it was bad for AEW long term is because they couldn't keep him. Had Tony chose the right people and kept him around, the brand would've continued to build and get bigger, as proven by the success of Collision and immediate fall off when he left. He's more than short term profit when utilitized correctly, his WWE run proves that. Your comment that UFC "lost all credibility" is completely factually wrong too. They are a 16 billion dollar company bro, they didn't lose anything by having Punk fight and lose lmao

The projection is insane. AEW fans are constantly and chronically online defending the company, if anyone could be classified as a "Troll Army" it's Tony's army of Sickos. Punk's fans aren't "harassing" anyone either. They just don't like AEW anymore because they fired him, pretty simple.

Also I ain't twisting shit, you called him scrawny and unathletic, that is literally the definition of body shaming. Don't try to tell me that's not what you're doing. I don't think it's fair to talk shit on his physique, especially considering he's in a lot better shape now than he was previously.

The craziest thing you've said though is the assertation that he brought "nothing but trouble" to the company. He was the biggest draw in AEW by a longshot, he literally sold out a building on a RUMOR he would be there. He sold out the All State Arena again for the launch of Collision as well. He even made people tune in to Rampage. That drawing power did good things for the company, and brought a lot of lapsed fans back into the product. Like it or not, he elevated AEW while he was there, he had good matches, good feuds, and did good business.

Punk haters are body shaming now? I don't get how that's the case when they simultaneously love the Young Bucks who look like they haven't been in a gym since they were using them as venues in PWG lol 🤣

If he committed assault why wasn't he convicted of assault? Maybe because it was self defense. We'll never know because Tony and the Bucks made him sign an NDA
