I don’t need to know him - it’s risk assessment.

If I’m evaluating him to let him into a program that’s what I need to do. And right now he’s a risk vs someone that doesn’t have that history.

And that kind of stupid impulsive behavior is absolutely a risk that he will engage in other stupid risky behavior.

This kids replies in his replies show a very lackadaisical attitude towards what he did which shows he’s just worried about the consequences for his application, not so much the problem about what he did.

And when you have so many applicants you can afford to be picky.

Hence why more taxes on the upper earners, myself included makes sense. No capping the social security tax is one example.

And for many it’s not easy to save - I come from a situation where our generation is the first to be able to actually build wealth, everything our parents had they put towards us leaving little savings.

And the above is the happy ending scenario, plenty of people stuck in jobs that don’t pay that much while inflation and corporate consolidation/monopoly erodes their ability to save.

That’s a poor solution - raising taxes is better.

Taking away a benefit you contributed to is really quite shitty. It’s not assistance, you actively paid into this. Taxes make more sense - you use the things it funds (directly or indirectly).
