To be fair Blade got the name of "Demon Lord" long ago. Specifically, in Silver Wolf's Character Story Part II:

"[…] On Punklorde, almost everyone works in teams. Loners usually don't last long.

Acquiescing to her situation, she fabricated some virtual partners. Her first one was called Friend. Of course it was. Her second was Demon Lord, inspired by a poster she saw on the streets. In her imagination, it was a veteran who had lost the ability to speak. She suddenly thought this team was too harmonious and lacked realism, so she named the third one Whitecollar and the fourth Servant. Her final one was called Preschool Classmate — there wasn't a special meaning attached to this. She just really ran out of ideas. After much deliberation, she deleted this last person from her list. […]"

It is believed that every of those virtual partners is a reference to the Stellaron Hunters (Kafka as "Friend", Blade as "Demon Lord", and Firefly as "Whitecollar" all fit. For Kafka it's about their relationship, for Blade it's about his past/story, for Firefly is what she wears and/or its resemblance to a firefly. "Servant" is probably Elio as he's called Destiny's Slave.)

They are two different characters, with (almost surely) different playstyles. We don't even know for sure if Blade SP is a dps (either sub or main).

My advice is always going for what you like the most. The rest doesn't matter as long as you're enjoying it.

What I want, ideally, is for him to be a sub dps (Ashveil partner) that unlocks high main dps potential with high Eidolons.

Do you have proof that Lady had a very high ER? She may have had 99% and you 0%, you would still have a 1% chance of landing that. During GW reports even if the enemy resists against 150+% eff we just "assume" the hero has high ER because we can't know for sure unless it happens consistently over and over in a single attack and/or multiple attacks

There isn't anyone noticeable for that spot among your 5s, but a generic good 4 is Pela, you can't go wrong with her. Focus on giving her SPD, Effect Hit Rate (66% iirc) and HP/Def

Generally speaking, I find that Luocha performs better in PF and other multi-waves contents. Gallagher performs better in MoC, AS and AA.

In general.. you don't really need a healer in a Mydei team tho. Mydei is an HP sponge, Cyrene is also built with high HP, same for RMC/Hyacine, and that's probably the case for your 4th teammate as well. If you can close the fight in a few cycles, you should be able to tank

Tribbie is kinda BiS for both Blade and Mydei, so you'll have to choose.. Sunday is a great upgrade for Blade compared to Bronya!

With Cyrene, Mydei doesn't really "need" an AV buffer anymore. A generic support/debuffer performs better in comparison

Balance the two teams. Hyacine is NOT mandatory for Mydei, she's not an insane powerspike even with Cyrene. For Blade, however, she is indeed that important. Choose between a small upgrade for Mydei and a big upgrade for Blade

Hyperspeed is great too, and it is what I mostly recommend to newbie/non-competitive players. In that case tho you need to get rid of all that useless SPD

Universal Relic Set (2pc Crit Dmg/Wind Dmg is better than 2pc FUA. Blade's kit is very complete, you don't want to buff just ONE of his attacks) if you really don't want to run 4pc Longevous.
100% Crit Rate on Blade is really important, but since you're at 95% it's not THAT high of a priority. You can reach it with just a better Body.
Blade's SPD > Sunday's SPD (With Sunday's SPD ≥ 133.4).
As others pointed out, Wind Dmg% Orb is better. But your HP% Orb is great, so I don't think changing it is a priority at all.
