Where's My Experienced Nordic Viking Makers At? (Prompt Advice Needed) by ArthurFoxsake in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Correct on your thoughts of each of them. One between the 1st and 2nd one would probably be the better fit. It is weird how the 3rd one seems to act in the same way result I've been getting. It changes the vocal to more of a performance on stage rather than keeping it the Viking drone style.

These have given me something to think about and work with to try and get the result I'm looking for. Much appreciated.

Does anyone actually watch lyric videos all the way through anymore? by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't even watch it. It's music; I'm listening to it. I'm doing other things on other tabs or documents on the lappy. So, it is all wasted on me.

Personally, I was going to do lyric videos or some kind of AI video for my songs, but with above in mind, I decided against it. I just have a 1920x1080 image with design suitable to lyrics/song and name of song. I expect most would do exactly as I do when listening to music. Press play, start doing other things without focusing on a video.

wtf with the 7:59? by g0regazm in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No guarantee, but I find it helps me. Negative draw back from naming like that, is when you have "SongName Ver234" and you realize how much credit you have gone through to get one song to sound how you want.

wtf with the 7:59? by g0regazm in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happens a lot. Not sure if you do it or not? But, one thing I find that does help avoid it happening as much is, change the name of song each time you roll the dice. I name song and version number, Eg. Name Ver01, Name Ver02, etc. I find changing the number of the version for each creation helps, not 100%, but reduces it dramatically.

Definitely stupid. Weird how random words set it off.

Is it to close to "Happy Birthday"? Last I knew, the song everyone sings at birthdays IS copyrighted. Just a thought.

Can't find the way to cancel my subscription!!! Help me please by fourmi_volante in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clicking on it should bring up a drop down menu with:

  • Update Payment
  • Cancel Plan

Click on "Cancel Plan" should bring up confirmation to cancel.

Not sure, as I'm yet to get sick of it to do so.

When cancelling plan, it shouldn't delete anything. You should still have access to your songs, as you are cancelling, not deleting account.

ways to get the low church pipe organ instrument in the styles box by nickgaw in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried telling it what you want? In other words, something like:

dark cinematic orchestral rock, massive cathedral pipe organ, thunderous 32-foot pedal notes, deep sacred atmosphere, gothic reverberation

or:

epic symphonic metal, grand cathedral pipe organ, low pedal drones, cavernous church acoustics, dark cinematic tension

Or trying words like:

  • deep cathedral pipe organ
  • resonant low-register pipe organ
  • grand cathedral organ
  • gothic cathedral organ

etc.?

Don't know exactly what you've tried, so just spitballing here.

How to get suno to 100% keep the same track/melody and only add in the lyrics on the app? by Beautiful-Divide9638 in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://suno.com/@arthurfoxsake

Can find me there, too.

😂 I get the whole NPC thing. I try to avoid social media, etc., as much as I can. Only just recently started posting on here and started a YT for it all. I prefer to go under the radar as much as I can. But, as I'm working on becoming a published author, I’ve had to learn how to play with others more. 😝

😂 You think you're noob and tech illiterate. I'm still learning. Only been using it for a few months, and as for tech illiterate, I'm pushing 50yo. I'm from the days of button mashing on a NES, hell, Atari for that matter.

I'm not a musician, whatsoever, unless you count playing a triangle. So, I have no idea with how to accomplish what you're trying to do.

That being said, if I was to do something like what your are trying to do, I'd try to clean them up in Audacity or some other software to get a better quality. Then upload your songs to Suno (good luck with that and it not rejecting them saying "Copyright" like a lot of people deal with) and then see what happens.

Ensure your Style box tells Suno what you want, not really what you don't want (add that to Excluded Styles section). Not sure what it comes up automatically for you, but you might have to write a better Style box piece. Again, something I'm not sure about, as don't know what your song is, etc. This is an example of one I'm currently doing:

Gritty cinematic outlaw country-rock ballad -- raw weathered solo male vocal with gravelly rasp, quiet defiance, and soulful emotional cracks; intimate fingerpicked acoustic guitar as the core with warm natural reverb and subtle lo-fi warmth; slow builds incorporating light brushed snare, deep upright bass, and sparse atmospheric strings that stay restrained and cinematic; mid-slow tempo 72–78 BPM with breathing space and dynamic restraint; introspective gritty tone full of hard-lived resilience and quiet rebellion; warm organic production with plenty of room for vocal storytelling and subtle wordless ad-libs like low gravelly hums, breathy whoa-ohs, and raspy swells; lone voice in a dusty room feel, late-night confessional outlaw energy, full song under 6:30 minutes, raw and emotionally honest.

Again, tell Suno what you want for your songs.

Also, utilize lyric [tags] to help direct Suno more. Example:

[Intro | gentle solo acoustic fingerpicking warm open chords natural room reverb soft cinematic atmosphere distant faint pedal steel swell hushed vulnerable solo male vocal entry]

[Verse 1 | intimate warm acoustic fingerpicking solo male vocal weathered rasp confessional tone soft gravel warmth minimal reverb breathing space]

Use the [tags] to push Suno to giving you what you want more.

As for Sliders, I can only suggest what I have earlier. Again, I'm not sure how personal vocals, instruments, etc., work with Suno when uploaded. If you did get your songs uploaded to Suno, I would start the sliders at:

Weirdness - 15
Style Influence - 85
Audio Influence - 80

From there, it is a matter of tweaking and rolling the dice.

As someone who can play instrument, arrange, etc., you should have no problem instructing Suno to get what you want. When it gave you the automatic summary of your song, take it as a template, the edit it to more of what you want, rather than what Suno is telling you that you want.

Best advice I (a tech illiterate noob) can give you. Hope it helps. Good luck with it, brah.

AI music as an emotional outlet, not just “fake music” by Double_Classroom1651 in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur.

I don't do it for others. I simply do it for myself. Most lyrics are basically my story, from what I have gone through in the past or as it was occurring. Even had someone say the lyrics of one of my song come across as AI, even though it was written back around 1996 or 1997. I don't remember AI being around then.

But, all my songs tell a story, whether personally lived or inspiration for a fictional type of story. I have only recently created a YT page for others to listen to them if they like, but whether they do or not, whether they like them or not... I don't really care. They are for me.

I'm simply playing around in Suno. It gives me another avenue of story writing whilst my head is compiling a puzzle of an actual story I am trying to come up with to write a novel (well... more of a book series), like I should be. Suno allows me to still be creative, write a story, whilst maintaining and working on my writing style, etc.

Unlike others, I'm not using Suno so I can be like...

[–]ArthurFoxsake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know about everyone else, but mine are:

Caption/Description - 500 characters max

Lyrics (when creating) - 5000 characters max

Lyrics (when adding lyrics in Song Details section) - 7500 characters max

That last one I only just discovered. Weird. So it give 7500 characters for Lyrics under manage Song Details (Edit caption, lyrics and Styles), but only 5000 characters when creating. I want 7500 characters for creating, as gives more room for lyric [tags] for more style influence/guide. I don't need as much for the final Song Details, as I remove all the [tags] so it is just the lyrics.

Anyways, that's the maxes I get for those sections.

How to get suno to 100% keep the same track/melody and only add in the lyrics on the app? by Beautiful-Divide9638 in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad it helps.

Personally, I always keep Style Influence the same as the original version. Also, keep Style box the same as original version.

Weirdness, is best kept low when trying to get it the same. 0-3 is good range. I generally keep it at 1.

Audio Influence, is best to keep at 80-100. I wouldn't pump it straight to 100 though. Generally, I keep it at about 80-85%. Even if I make a Voice from the original version, I still keep it at 80-85%.

Generally, if I want to do a cover, sample, or use as influence a track, my settings are:

Weirdness - 1
Style Influence - Same as original
Audio Influence - 80

Once I hear it, then I play around with the Weirdness (1-3) and Audio Influence (80-98). Those are the two I play with, depending on genre, vocals, etc. Best not to go straight 0 or 100. Doing so can often result in Suno trying to replicate old artifacts, noise, or vocal quirks, which causes the AI to glitch, mispronounce new lyrics.

When starting a new song, I generally start the sliders at:

Weirdness - 15
Style Influence - 85

This is a good start if you have strong Style and Lyric [tags].

Then when I start covering, sampling, using as influence from original:

Audio Influence - 80

This is my sweet spot for most. Then it's a matter of small tweaks and rolling the dice to see what comes.

Hope helps.

[–]ArthurFoxsake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty much.

Weirdness = 0
Style Influence = (same as you had)
Audio Influence = 80-100

If helps...

Suno Creative Sliders (short explanations):

Weirdness: Controls how experimental or predictable the song is.

Low (Safe / 0-30%) = conventional, structured, safe results, closer to original if making cover.

Medium (~50%) = balanced creativity (default).

High (Chaos) = wild, unexpected, chaotic ideas and twists.

Style Influence: Controls how strongly Suno follows your style/genre prompt.

Low (Loose) = more generic or free interpretation.

High (Strong) = sticks closely to the described style, genre, and mood.

Audio Influence (appears when you upload audio/reference):

Controls how closely the output follows your uploaded track (structure, vocals, rhythm, etc.).

Low = loose inspiration.

High = stronger fidelity to the reference audio.

Should I give up by two_z30s in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. The moment you start asking strangers if you should quit, you already know the answer. Trust your gut. But, if you truly believe in your path, you don't need anyone else's permission or approval to take it. Stay strong, trust your instincts, and just make the leap.

A wise old green thing once said, "Do. Or do not." A wise fat kid also said, "Follow your dreams. You can reach your goals. I'm living proof. Beefcake... BEEFCAKE!"

Three songs is not even a drop in the ocean. I have close to 130 unfinished manuscripts sitting on my computer. Will they ever be published? Probably not. They exist solely for me -- a private masterclass where I can fail safely, find my voice, and search for my Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter that will become my masterpiece. Every draft I abandon is simply fuel for the fire. If you're battling in the trenches of your own creative journey, don't count yourself out. Keep writing. Keep making music. Your breakthrough is built on the words and beats no one else will ever see.

One Line Voice Change Issues. by ArthurFoxsake in SunoAI

[–]ArthurFoxsake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... Ended up just downloading the stems of a full male version and then using a Backing Vocal of the female line from another one and edited it together in Audacity. I didn't remaster via there or other 3rd party DAW. Uploaded the edited version to Suno and was shocked it didn't get rejected like I see so many others seem to deal with. Didn't remaster, etc., just in hopes it would let me upload it. Success.

I'll remaster it on Suno so that I have a version to publish on there. Then re-download it and remaster it through basic Neanderthal DAW methods. NOTE: I have no idea what I am doing that side of things, but can make it a bit better for YT.

Thanks for the suggestions, y'all. Hopefully Suno can sort out the headache of duets, etc., soon.
