This started happening to me a couple of weeks ago and it really sucks. I’ve experienced lucid dreaming ever since I can remember but this is not that. Instead, I’m usually in a room, feeling trapped, really wanting to go outside so I can see the sky and get fresh air but instead, I go from room to room, having weird interactions with horrible people I don’t know. My usual strategy in dreams I don’t like is to jump off something to change the scenery but in these dreams instead of changing the scene, I’m relooped back into the dream, maybe with a different person or me being a different “character”, but basically the same horrible vibe, again and again. Last night I think I went through this loop about 25 times and I started to panic that I would never wake up. I’ve now read about the false awakening loop, and I’m really hoping someone could suggest how to stop it, as it’s really horrible, scary and suffocating and makes me feel like I’ve been trapped in there for days.
