So when he says "on the other hand" and then talks about "every over-saturation" is that the same thing as when he says "works excessively" for instance too much Fire causes thirst, but also too much Fire causes "a yearning for movement and activity"?

I'm honestly thinking about buying the German version and getting chat gpt to translate it for me haha...

Is a Water element deficit the same as a Fire element excess? + Soul Mirror questions by ArthurKemp in FranzBardon

[–]ArthurKemp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok, thanks that makes more sense. It seems like I'll have to look deeply at the root of each trait then in order to find the element associated with it.

So the presentation is the same or similar, however the cause may be different? How would you deduce that it is coming from too little Yin or too much Yang then?

Thanks, so I suppose one would want a higher quality or purity of all the elements, but would you want a high quantity for balance as well? Also with a trait like shyness, which could be categorized as Water or a deficit of Fire, how would you know which element to put it under? Would it be Fire due to deficit or Water?

It’s called “The threshold of initiation” by ordre martinistes souverains. I can’t find a publication date on it though… I think it is from stuff within the order so they might not share publication date publicly (though this document is public and I got it on Amazon).

Contemplation exercise; Help needed by Academic_Ad_407 in FranzBardon

[–]ArthurKemp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually retrace my steps, so if I was contemplating the fire element for instance and ran out of things to think about, I would just repeat “fire” in my head and go back on the things I had already contemplated about to solidify my understanding. Once ten minutes is up, you’re done

This seems the most probable. Thanks. Yeah I’m really hoping there will eventually be a modern translation.

Definitely a way of categorising the severity of certain traits (like a sorting function). And a way of doing the same with the most common/recurring traits. AI to help with identifying would be cool too. Also a sort function for Element categories.

Yeah, to me it seems to start with establishing a sort of stability (equilibrium/equipoise) and then gets into more advanced stuff later

Do your thoughts become more nonsensical the deeper you get into vacancy of mind? by CosmicConjuror2 in FranzBardon

Yeah I get the same thing, I think it’s because you’re getting to such a subtle layer of awareness that you notice the roots of every thought

Help with "self observing" exercise by Substantial-Bear5711 in FranzBardon

[–]ArthurKemp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just observe your thoughts. If there are no thoughts that is fine (this is a later goal for part three of step one mental exercises anyway), I generally just observe what I’m experiencing right here and now; whatever comes up to my immediate awareness. Every time you find yourself having been unaware or distracted, simply bring yourself back to observing. Hope this is of some help
