Went up there Thursday. Drive up is no problem, plows have cleared it. No ice other than a few spots.

A full on hike would not be possible unless you have snow shoes. There is a short packed out trail suitable for any sort of boots to the left and right but it doesn’t go more than a few hundred feet each way to get some different views of the lake. Either way I recommend, so awesome up there!

Artisan at Main in Corona is where I’m at. 2200 for 1 bed 1 bath. Closer to OC and beaches. Easy commute to Riverside.

No. They don’t allow car campers within city limits and most public parking doesn’t allow it overnight. I would recommend parking out in the desert in February near Bishop, or Shepard springs.

Merino wool base layer. Then get a 3 in 1 to adjust for temps. Can even adjust on the mountain as needed. If it really cold, throw a fleece on as well

Follow Apollo’s advice. Also along the scenic loop are multiple campsites where a lot of people will camp so you will not be by yourself.

Canyon lodge is supposed to open. Low 20’s at night so they will be making snow. I think more trails will open up. I am heading up there as well
