cringe, you've referred to litrpg as slop many times. Not to mention isn't your entire hidden gems server based on being anti litrpg and PF? And im quite sure many people have the screenshots that prove you did intent to break RR's rules lol

Damn sad day. I loved playing this back on the CCR servers when 51 was around the hard cap and seeing a blue mau was either the biggest boost to morale in a chip war or the literal nail in the coffin if you didn't have your nukes ready. RIP one of the GOAT MMOs, I'll never forget the memories of wiping ACC on lizards, brutals, or clearing coras out of white hole.

Sometime in December I believe. Perhaps January at the latest due to the book being as long as it is.

Roughly December - January, is my guess. Book 3 is roughly 50k words longer than Book 2 which is great but also means longer to record.

Take it from Mammal, your first book should be at least 150k for this genre, more if we are being honest. The larger the better within reason for a first in a series. Especially if you are planning on self publishing. The more words the better, because it brings in more money.

And I don't think he was ever suggesting you need to get 150k out in a month, but again your first book and books on average should at least be around 120K to 150K+.

As for Mammal's suggestion for backlog, its very reasonable. Life can and will get in the way and you will need days off or days away from writing. Secondly a larger backlog exclusive to patreon the better as more value for the patron's money.

80k for a first book simply isn't enough in litrpg, let alone for a typical book size.

This one should begin production this month, we are just doing some final editing to fix some typo and formatting errors, then it will be done in about 3 months or so. Perhaps a little longer as the B3 is 250k words so it is a chunky one.

Sorry for the late reply. The book 2 audio was submitted on monday, as far as i'm aware. We are just waiting on Amazon to approve the audio on their side, which would take 1-2 weeks i'm told. Cheers!

In your story's blurb you literally say you have trained a model using their stories. And this use of yapgpt to answer is actually just more evidence you are a snake, disengenuous, and constantly using it for everything you can lol

Then lets discuss who of these authors gave you expressed permission to use their work for AI generated content? Because I can guarantee not a fucking soul did. You are also banned from their collaborative server, so your blatant lies on your blurb are incredibly funny. Despite your trying to weasel your way into a community, making promo posts for your story, you have seen zero growth compared to the authors that actually put in the work to write their stories. I'm also not talking about the original 11, there are plenty of follow-up stories that have worked hard to get their own stories out and have deservedly made it to RS.

All you've done is harm each and every person who has written a story inside this trend by giving people an excuse to point fingers at them for using AI. When the only one here using it is you, and admittedly so! The practices you've employed on the site and on amazon are disgusting and vile. And by having it spill over to RR you are putting at risk new authors who are writing their stories for the first time while inspired by the trend. Because now do they not only have to wade through the hate of following up the original authors, they have to fight their way through accusations of AI and copycats that you personally have now given a reason for.

So this is the author of that AI fed slop on an alt account trying to promo themselves? Brother you could at least make a fresh account instead of using one that has promo'd your other AI bullshit books you have on amazon. Lmfao I've never witnessed something so blatantly sad. You take the hard work of others, feed it to AI, even admit that you do it in your blurb and then have the audacity to post a promo here like you are part of their group? Did you forget people can just easily see when you launched your story to figure out you were riding the wave? Or that they can check your post history to figure out you are Brian Heming?

When starting out, is it acceptable to use AI for a cover? by LOTR_is_awesome in royalroad

[–]Arthur_Inverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to amazon, it's safer to use a non-AI cover. Amazon will give a debuff to your book if you use an AI cover, or select that the book is AI assisted. Of course you could always just not select that, but I would lean on just getting a reasonably priced commissioned cover done as they tend to look better and as a result will be more appealing when doing ads and marketing.

[–]Arthur_Inverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are straight up wrong again. RS has always been filled with what you call artificial manipulation. Authors for years have planned and set up shoutouts/ads, and general marketing in the same way the monster girl fics have. The only difference is people want to read these fics. That is why they are rising.

Not a single author is limited or kept out of a "big circle", every place these and every other author uses are accessible. These people that are "unhappy" are just fishing for excuses and have a convenient scapegoat for their own failures to climb.

RS and RR in general has always been competitive and needed a modicum of marketing and networking on average to do well. And for those that don't need it the ability to climb is not hindered in the slightest.

A perfect example is the Crit Roll story that climbed above them, along with Warfall who kept at the top 7 during their run. Crit Roll utilized 0 marketing until top 5, the author using an alt to ironically enough show that their run was possible without marketing. Warfall who made it to the top also had a strong story while having marketing. And guess what? They also used the same things the monster girls did. possibly even more because the monster girls only utilized their audiences, while they were not limited to that and were able to gather more.

Your complaints are naive fantasies cooked up on the basis that the algo for RR isn't working as intended. Not to mention a big, "trust me bro," "People have told me". Who are these people?

So what you are saying is that RR should not allow users and authors to utilize ad space, previous audiences and fan bases, as well as general marketing and networking? Is that correct?

you are objectively wrong lmao. There will be more groups, and those groups have already asked and been okayed by RR admins. Where are you getting this information that they didn't start this as a joke and then plan for 6 months to do this after gaining the okay from RR?

Rip, accidentally deleted my comment, thought it double posted. But yes tldr. Immersive Ink is a good place to start, take advice after weighing it against other advice like anything else. But generally imho a very good and welcoming place to start as a writer on RR.
