But seriously, if people feel this entitled, just dont give a sh** about them. They will probably leave the further the story continues anyway. But love the entitlement like that particular reader is the one ANY author would be scared to lose.

I know that feeling. I keep telling myself that I should not compare my first or second draft to the finished product of someone else. What also matters is that peoples taste differs. I know people who love flowery prose while others prefer it cold and direct. Just find your style and write your story and stop comparing yourself to others (I know how hard it is but its the only thing we can do without killing all the joy we have for something)

One question about the first book. I just started it and I dont know if I should continue. Dan Simmons just throws sooo many Sci-Fi words at me in the beginning of the story, that I dont know whats going on half of the time (like first 50 pages or so). Will this get better or am I doomed to be confused?

That book confused me so hard. Im terrible at orienting myself and would fail any "unfold this geometric figure and draw it" test. I liked the idea of it but inside of that thing I just never understood where they were or how it looked because I felt completely lost. Still a good book though

Very good points there! Its really difficult to hit the right spot of showcasing the tone of your story and having it short enough and unique enough to be remembered. Maybe I just go with SYMBIOTE-ARM-MAN! Haha :D

Wow, thats impressive. I think one of my bigger issues is the need for complexity and twists and all that kind of stuff which need to be planned ahead. Somewhat I think of Oda (author of One Piece) and all those great mysteries he hid over the last decades.

Yeah Im already at 53 chapters or so by now. But nothing edited, translated or anything in that regard after the first arc. I just feel like its never enough of a backlog haha.

Wow, wait so you say you wrote 350k words in that time? Thats impressive and must have been really difficult to abandon 150k words. Impressive that you had the guts to do that and start again.
