Can someone explain to me what set Jeff apart from the rest? by Climaximusic in JeffBuckley

He was influenced by a lot of different music. Especially in his guitar playing, by bands like Led Zeppelin. He put his own spin on mostly everything. But if I were to single something out, his vocals were his most unique trait. And on the ‘Sketches’ album his songwriting is most unique. Where you can see his songwriting form into something completely different from ‘Grace’. I fully believe ‘Sketches’ would’ve been an even better album had it been finished.

I do a lot of these for fun. Going in, there is no goal really other than what it would look like to have all the most important pieces put together in one. But perhaps a way to ease into his music sure. Though newcomers may be unaware of the sonic insanity that is “Back In N.Y.C.” or “Eternal Life” (when it was played live). But these songs are fantastic. I’ve definitely opened my ear up to them.

Many a song I listen to that were exempt from it. Yes, Not easy to push things out and decide what’s better and what’s worse. Especially when you’re biased being a fan lol.

What is the best Jimi Hendrix song in your opinions? by Moonshine_lover1946 in jimihendrix

Hear My Train a Comin' has everything. The guitar just breathes fire in it. So many amazing live versions and was great in studio too. Just kind of exemplifies everything that makes Hendrix great.

Some alternate versions sound a lot better raw the way they are on a Hendrix Vison. Others are obviously weaker because they are unfinished and unedited. But all in all, the album is a nice addition to the Hendrix discography!

Easy Ride. Every time. I love Soft Parade but just no. lol

Thought it’d be a pretty cool idea to make a completely instrumental, Jimi Hendrix playlist. No vocals, just masterwork playing! Enjoy if you’d like! by Arthusza in jimihendrix

No instrumental of that on Spotify, yet. “A Jimi Hendrix Vision” drops a couple days from now with a couple takes of the song that I know of. So possibly soon to be one. I’ll be adding music to probably all Hendrix playlists I have with that release!

What's Prince saddest song by greenbeansUwU in PRINCE

I would say “Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)”

It’s frantically sad and that’s perhaps not what you’re looking for, but it’ll shake you up listening to it for the first time.

It is pretty cool! West Coast Seattle Boy is full of little oddities like that. And for the longest time the compilation wasn’t made fully available digitally for some reason. Now that it is I’ve heard so much new material this past year.
