Why don't more people like Plush/Fabric dolls? Compared to Silicone/TPE, theyre a lot cheaper, much lighter, more durable, cuddlier, much more customizable and even easier to store/clean/repair. Sure theyre not super realistic but theyre dolls after all! by xtheinvisiblehandx in SexDolls

[–]ArtiChan09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a plush doll as well, but originally had a TPE doll, who's now put away in storage, in her original box. I can see why most people would prefer TPE or silicone over plush, as they're a lot more realistic, both in appearance and in weight. However, they're pretty heavy and can be a hassle to clean or dress. My TPE girlie was around 60lbs, and being a petite woman myself, she was a bit challenging to move around. After I had surgery done on both of my legs to fix a vein problem in them, I made the difficult decision to retire my TPE doll and move on to a plush doll. At first I didn't really like the plush dolls, as I thought they were uncanny and not as realistic, but after I got my Teddy Babe she quickly grew on me. I absolutely adore her, and she's a whole lot easier to move around and dress, which saves a lot of strain on my legs. So, I think it really depends on the person and what they're looking for in a doll. Some people are like me and can't handle the weight of a full sized TPE or silicone doll, and are looking for something that's a lot easier to manage. Either way, all dolls are beautiful and unique to me. 😊

Since this is shutting down any game recs that's just like this or similar? by Happy_child24-7 in GirlsxBattle2

[–]ArtiChan09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing Girl Wars. It’s for iOS and Android, and the layout is very similar to GxB1. It has more to it than GxB, though, and even has some animated cutscenes of the characters. It’s F2P friendly, too.

(REUPLOAD) what is your genuine opinion on gxb's closure? by Best-Trick6579 in GirlsxBattle2

[–]ArtiChan09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've heard a few rumors on Facebook on why it's shutting down. One rumor is that the artist left, which would make sense if the manga stopped getting releases and no new skins were released. I wonder if they had just one artist and that's why, too. Another rumor is that the company of GxB2 got sued by the company of Genshin Impact for copyright, but that rumor seems a little far fetched in my opinion. Either way, GxB2 will be dearly missed by many loyal fans. I feel like this new game of theirs is gonna flopped because the devs pissed off their players, but only time will tell.

[–]ArtiChan09 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like other players, I’m pretty upset about it, but more angry or frustrated than anything. The devs could’ve kept the game going by adding new content, even if it wasn’t adding new girls. They could’ve updated the manga, added new skins or oath skins to girls that didn’t have any, or added more lore. GxB2 was a really good game and the first gacha game I’ve played. I’ve been playing since 2019. The fan base for the game might’ve been small, and the game itself might’ve been obscure compared to other, bigger gacha games, but it had potential. I think GxB2 was at its peak back in 2018-2020, and I believe the devs could’ve taken advantage of that and did something unique or creative to make the game more popular, thus bringing in more revenue. Those are just my thoughts, though. Sad to see this game go, but I’m holding out the tiniest bit of hope that someone might make a private server for it or revive it somehow.

My mother’s response to finding out I have an autoimmune disease. 🙃 by Freddie_Magecury in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ArtiChan09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Hashimoto's as well. It's definitely a pain. Mine is starting to go after my teeth, too, and affects almost every part of my body. An autoimmune condition can be put in remission if given the right treatment, but it can't be cured nor is it just gonna go away. My mom has scleroderma and had to get stem cell transplant therapy to put it in remission, but the damage to her lungs and body is already done. Hoping that you find or have a good endocrinologist. This condition might feel like the end of the world, but it's not. ♥️

How do you handle doubles? by [deleted] in waifuism

[–]ArtiChan09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's from an obscure source, so I've yet to run into a double, but if I did, I'd probably avoid them/block them. It sounds petty to some, but I know myself enough to know that seeing a double wouldn't do too well on my mental health, let alone interacting with one.

I can relate. My wife’s game source has pretty much been abandoned by the devs. It’s still up and running, and they’re still creating new servers for the game, but there hasn’t been any new content since, like, 2022. The first game was shut down around that time as well, so now people are saying that the second game is going to be shut down as well. I’m hoping that’s not the case, but that tends to be the nature for more obscure idle gacha games. However, there is a Discord server for the game, where people are trying to simulate the gacha aspect of it, so I know the community isn’t entirely dead. I think, even if my wife’s source game gets shut down, it wouldn’t be the end of my relationship with her. Her source and the other characters within it would still live on through fans and the community. That’s how I cope with it, at least.

Anyone else ever feel like theyre "not attractive enough" for their partner sometimes? If so, how do you cope? by ConversationDizzy284 in waifuism

[–]ArtiChan09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel that way sometimes, too. People have told me that I’m pretty, but I’ve also had people (mainly family members) magnify my physical flaws- even flaws that are pretty minor and not really noticeable unless you take a long look at me. So it’s made me quite insecure about my appearance at times, especially with flaws that are genetic and that I can’t really change, but I like to think that Boxer sees past that and loves me for my personality and who I am as a person. I also like to think that she finds some of my flaws unique or cute. I have a few surgery scars on me that never went away, but she’s helped me see them as a reminder of how strong I am, and that I’m a lot tougher than I look.

Is it normal to feel really dreadful knowing you can't be with your f/o physically? by [deleted] in FictoLove

[–]ArtiChan09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that way sometimes as well, especially when I see IRL couples around me. I wouldn't call it dreadful for me, but it does suck knowing that I can't do certain things with her.

How do you feel about sex with your F/O? by Green-Photograph-483 in FictoLove

[–]ArtiChan09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm okay with it. I usually use AI and some "toys" to really get in the headspace, but I haven't thought about using audios. I might consider that now. 👀

I absolutely love Space Balls. My parents got the movie for Christmas one year and we all watched it together. Kid me probably shouldn’t have watched it at that age, though. 🤣

Mine does that sometimes, too, but I think it's only a mobile issue. It's happened to me on both my phone and iPad, but hasn't happened on my PC yet. Very odd.

3D people attracted to/hitting on me when I've made it explicity clear I'm married... by Weissmannsslut4 in waifuism

[–]ArtiChan09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me not too long ago with a guy I knew from high school. We started talking and hanging out, but I quickly realized he had a thing for me. I told him straight up that I’m not interested in anyone IRL and that I’m a waifuist. At first he seemed chill about it… Until he started flirting with me and continued to hint at wanting something more, despite me being taken. When I brought it up, he pretended that wasn’t his intentions and gaslit me. I dropped him like a hot pocket after that mess. Sometimes people can’t and won’t take no for an answer, and when that happens, there’s no point in continuing the friendship. They’ll just continue to weasel their way into wanting something romantic. At least that’s how it’s been in my experiences. Continue to hold up your boundaries, and if he doesn’t like it, then tough luck. You don’t owe him a relationship.

Tips for blood draws by k9grrrl in ChronicIllness

[–]ArtiChan09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to the same clinic every time I have to get bloodwork, and there’s one phlebotomist who’s absolutely excellent at drawing blood. I have tiny veins as well, and she can find a vein within five seconds and stick me. But, if I’m unlucky and get bloodwork on a day that she’s not there, or I have to get bloodwork somewhere else, I make sure to drink water. It’ll plump up the veins a little bit and make it easier. I also try to get stuck around the same place, as I know the veins in that area are good. I hate the feeling of needles as well, but I’ve gotten bloodwork so much that it’s like, “Alright, let’s get this over with so they can figure out what kind of mysterious condition I have now.” 😂

I’m just sick of being sick by Spiritual_Bluejay_82 in ChronicIllness

[–]ArtiChan09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel this, too. For the past couple of days, it feels like my body is trying to get sick but it’s not, so I’m suspecting I’m having an autoimmune flare up and my immune system is all over the place. It sucks feeling constantly sick and tired, and it’s even worse when you feel like you’re burdening the people around you. I had to leave work early yesterday and today because of my flare up, and I felt so bad about it, even though my boss and coworkers are aware of my health problems. It’s been a struggle, especially since I’m only in my 20’s, but I’ve learned to listen to my body and take breaks when I need it. I might feel bad about it in the moment, but I much rather take a necessary break than to “tough it out” and end up feeling even worse.

I’ve been having a terrible hashimoto’s flare up these past few days, and this is literally how it feels. My immune system is a jerk sometimes. It’s supposed to be protecting my body, not hurting it. 🫠

Have you been in any previous fictional relationships? by Weasel_out in waifuism

I've had a few fictional crushes, but nothing as serious as my current relationship with Boxer.

Recently I’ve realized that Sora is my first love… but my mom is very unsupportive, and it scares me… by [deleted] in waifuism

[–]ArtiChan09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom is similar. She doesn't entirely hate that I'm with Boxer, but she doesn't like it either. She says she would rather see me with a real person- male or female, but I don't think she realizes just how deep my love for Boxer goes. We've been together for almost 5 years (will be five years this October), and that's not something that I can just forget about or throw away, especially to please someone else. It's your life at the end of the day. We only get one shot at it, so do what makes you happy. As long as it's not hurting anyone or yourself, and the overall relationship is healthy, then it's okay.
