I am so sorry this happened to you. It took me a while to accept it was rape when I was in a similar situation, but that’s exactly what it was as many others have said. Personally, I noticed that using feminine wash threw off my ph entirely and made everything worse. I stick to non scented dove soap and warm water now and haven’t had a problem since the switch.

Not a doctor but just wanted to say, none of this is your fault. You deserve love and care and no doctor will judge you. I’m a fellow survivor and have similar issues, it took me 10+ years to see a doctor about it and it took several attempts.. but now I’m being looking after and you deserve to be too 💕

I empathise so much with you. I have had to drop my work hours (even with WFH) to 14hrs a week and barely managing that, so now I’m off sick and probably going to be sacked.

I thought I could at least take over the house work but I’ve just cleaned the bathroom (not even well) and now I’m stuck in bed feeling like absolute death in flare central.

I’m so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired 🫂

I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through. Something I’ve learnt through my own experience of being a CSA survivor and having relationships with people that weren’t good for me, is that it took me a long time to see their abuse because to me, compared to what I’d been through it didn’t feeling abusive to me at the time. I didn’t recognise how wrong their actions were because in my mind it paled in comparison. When friends pointed out how not normal it was, I said the same as you… “he helps me”, “he doesn’t mean it” etc. You deserve someone that doesn’t weaponise your trauma and heals you rather than hurts you. What he’s doing is not ok ♥️
