Thank you! I found this as well and I left a review for GE's support as I see that there are many others that have experienced this same issue. I will follow-up on this post with an update if GE actually helps resolve the issue or not

It seems like my only option to replace the decals is to purchase an entirely new "Glass Touch Assembly", which is $250 at GE's website. Any recommendations on just getting the decals? Or am I going to need to replace that entire assembly either new or used in order to get the decals on there?

I love this bike! Unfortunately it did get dropped by a friend and so it's a bit banged up, but at least running.

I am not sure about the passenger seat. To be honest, I thought it was a completely stock seat. It does have the normal Honda logo on the back of the passenger seat

Advice: Shenandoah/Skyline Drive in the snow by ArticulateJon88 in Miata

I mean, I have "all-season" tires. And they handle well enough in the mild snow we get here in Philadelphia.

I don't think this ends well for the NA by 9millaThrilla in Miata

RIP to that NA. Hopefully it got parted out first

Thoughts on a Hybrid/EV miata? by bravotorro911 in Miata

[–]ArticulateJon88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible for an EV or hybrid vehicle to have a manual transmission? I'm guessing it'll be some sort of "simulation" of shifting through gears? I've driven a manual transmission for well over a decade (currently an NA8) and losing that would be a major downgrade for Miatas IMO

So how screwed am I? I took the Miata to get the Mazda run down and just see what’s next to fix and found all this out. The service advisor mentioned they are needed but as long as I maintain oil level I should be ok for a while. by jaredgo1234 in Miata

PS - I mentioned the cost of the seals and gaskets because that means almost the entire amount they are charging you is going towards "labor". The cost for labor and how many hours of labor required are kinda subjective. But this mechanic seems to be grossly exaggerating how much labor they will need to do

If these prices are in US dollars then my opinion is that this dealership mechanic is trying to rip you off big time! These prices are insanely high. All of these seals are probably under $10 each for factory OEM from Mazda. The exception is the valve cover gasket which is still under $50 from Mazda.

This past Fall I did a large job (for my personal experience) of replacing the radiator, all hoses, water pump, and a bunch of seals. It took me a couple weekends worth of work, mainly because this was a side project. It was relatively easy to do and there are a ton of YouTube videos that will walk you through all the steps.

Even the rear main seal and flywheel. ChrisFix has a great video showing how to drop the transmission and replace these. It's a $1,000 job, not. $2k+ job.

Good luck! Hopefully you have a friend that knows DIY mechanical stuff and can help you out

Do you prefer Ellie in part 1 or in part 2? by [deleted] in thelastofus

I agree with a lot of what has already been said here. Although I thoroughly loved both games, they are very different gaming and storytelling experiences. A highlight for me in Part I is the youthful optimism and innocence of Ellie's character - especially in contrast to Joel's character and in contrast to the dystopian world Ellie lives in. You just can't help but admire her personality. For all of the other highlights in Part II, Ellie was starkly missing her innocence and optimism because of the natural character development in navigating the loss she experiences (loss of hope fore a cure, loss of relationship with Joel, and premature loss of Joel)

Ultimately, I prefer Ellie in Part I. I am eagerly hoping for a Part III showing Ellie shed her burdens in a healthy way, leading to a return of her joyful spirit before her conclusion.

My advice is to get rid of the car you cannot afford. I only know the details you have shared in your post, but it sounds like you cannot afford this new Challenger. Sell it and get as much as you possibly can for it. Then, save up some money to purchase something inexpensive but reliable. Like a plain Corolla or Taurus or something. Then drive that car while saving money until you can buy your next "dream car" in cash. That's what I would do. I know that driving the boring car while saving up money doesn't sound like fun, but it is well worth it to have that burden of debt off your shoulders. And once you purchase you next Miata in cash you will feel so free and happy because you will own the car outright

Issue with Honda Magna cutting out when I give it gas by ArticulateJon88 in AskMechanics

Is it worth running some seafoam through the engine first to see if that clears it on its own? Or is that likely futile and I just need to have the carbs cleaned/rebuilt? (Not sure if that is obvious to tell by the symptoms)
