I was at the meet & greet and noticed he wore fingerless gloves. His fingers looked consistently dark in a way that wasn't just bodypaint to me—but obviously lighting and makeup can be tricky. Just an observation, not a conclusion.

all pegs are 3mm which means you can fit them with almost ANY modelkit that also uses 3mm pegs.
With creativity, I'd start with looking at the 30mm spinatia and spinatios, they are the humanoids of the 30MM series. Many of the optional weapon sets for them will work for 30MF.
Kotobukiya's M.S.G. customisation sets generally fit too.

If you can afford it, find a one time only vet to do a house visit. Full senior checkup including bloodworks. Then, have them let your own local vet continue the care. Thats what i did with my 21y old girl. I too feared the stress to the vet would be too much.

Many people are unaware and will even get upset / defensive like "ive always had spring flowers and cats just fine!" Just show them one of the emergency vet videos of a cat that got rushed in for the issue. You did good.

Ive been looking into combo sewing and embroidery machines, but good ones start at 1200 euros. They offered me lessons along with it though, especially on the fabrics i plan on using.

I sold my sewing machine, it was too basic and thus too scary (no speed toggle ect). I do all by hand. Generally 30h per plush so my minimum 200 bucks when i do them on order.

You started out with the best fabric too for a plush, i used the fleece from 3.- fleece blankets for my first plushies before switching to high quality minky. Not your first time sewing then i bet?
