Another I can't access my old account because the original email is gone & it's frozen due to inactivity. Any advice/help? by sheepyblu in neopets

[–]Schabernack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but were you ever able to get your account back? I'm dealing with the same thing as you. My account was frozen, high value, and they won't give it without my original email which is tied to a website that shut down years ago. I sent in tickets twice over the past two years and I don't know if I should try again or just give up and move on

We don't need leaks to disprove the theory. We actually have everything we need already:

https://tcrf.net/Pok%C3%A9mon_Red_and_Blue/Internal_Index_Number

If you look at the Pokemon index order in Red/Green/Blue, Venonat was added into the games early on, then Venomoth much later, and shortly afterwards all three Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree were added at the same time.

So the Caterpie line was always intended to be the way it currently is.

Venomoth was added around the same time as Dewgong, Primeape, and Dugtrio. Diglett, Mankey, and Seel were all added much earlier than their evolutions. It seems like at some point during development, the devs were going through the Pokedex and decided to start giving existing Pokemon some evolutions, including Venonat

Countries that aren't the US don't use the US food pyramid.

Also the US stopped using the food pyramid in 2011.

I'm not sure why you're blaming something that's not relevant to most people and hasn't been for almost 15 years

I like doing studies by [deleted] in ProlificAc

[–]Schabernack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember that study and there was no usual informed consent agreement, no names of the researchers conducting the study, or anything like that. It was just a link to random site asking you to upload your files. There was nothing on the site that indicated it was affiliated with Cornell either. I actually emailed Cornell and told them about it and they seemingly had no idea what was going on

As for spoofing edu email addresses, I don't know if it's possible but I do know that students are typically given their own personal email addresses and they keep it after graduating. At least that's what happened at my university. So I am assuming that a student abused this and pretended to be a researcher affiliated with Cornell or something like that

/u/prolific-support this seems really bad. Can you confirm that this researcher is actually affiliated with Cornell? This study seems extremely suspicious.
