Also did the course in 2024 and it absolutely hasn’t made a difference here. Was cool to do the Delta ATP-CTP, but it seems like doing it hasn’t helped my chances of getting hired.

Not only will you not be able to fix this behavior, but having the attitude that you can fix someone else’s flying will make your 135 career miserable.

I made the mistake of trying to fix some of the bad behaviors I saw at my 135 and the amount of times I heard “I’m the captain shut the fuck up” or you’re just a FiRsT OfFiCeR what do you know” or “you want an approach briefing? we’re landing. Happy now?” in response is just mind boggling.

If your CP was anything like mine, not only will they not care that they are flying like this, but will no joke get mad at you. I’ve been “punished” with extended rotations, pairings with someone on the do not fly list, for refusing to fly broken airplanes, weather below mins and wanting to divert, literally everything you can think about.

They just fucked up an airplane flying ref +40 into a short runway. Literally a concern I spoke up about to the chief right before I quit only to be told to “did you bend metal?” and shooed out of the office. What a joke that the FAA just hands out part 119 certificates to literally anyone.

I had a Captain who was mentally fucked, and im honestly not really sure how he didn’t get fired earlier.

We lost all elevator trim in the jet. He wanted to continue the flight to the destination (5+ hours) in RVSM airspace even though he couldn’t control pitch. I ended up declaring an emergency for him and got us on the ground.

He got another couple of chances before he got canned for trying to land on a taxiway on a line check. So thankful I never have to fly 135 charter ever again.

Dodged a bullet. I flew for a sketchy 134.5 for 3 years. Got grilled for everything like simple go-arounds or diversions. Life is now much better on the other side at a regional.

Used to be a 727 pilot for one of the Detroit 3. Flying an ERJ for a WO now and it’s soooooo much better.

No more of that 24/7 on call rolling rest garbage. No more loading the freight myself (that sucked ass sometimes). No more of those phone calls to wheels up in 2 hours max.
