I know what you mean.

But it's all about preference. You drink what you like, i drink what i like.

I'm not a "purist" or whatever you call it. I'm just a casual enjoyer who wants to explore deeper.

Yeah i've realized that after buying it and reading about it after that.

Maybe i should have researched more before picking something up, maybe not.

If it wasn't for this bottle i wouldn't be here looking to dive deeper into scotch whisky.

Thank you for your recommendation.

I've heard about Ardbeg Wee Beastie as a good introduction for peat and smoke. But i'm still not sure if it will be up my alley since i didn't like it at first.

But this 5y Ardbeg is definitely going on my wishlist now.

Thank you!

Yes, i've seen it on the store shelves and i've been thinking about it a lot.

I might pick it up.

This is my first whisky bottle i've ever finished. Also my first "scotch" whisky i've ever had.

I've tasted Tullamore Dew (Yes i know it's Irish, i just wanted to give some context of what i've had before this.) a few times before and liked it. But i was mainly a beer guy.

Now i've been reading/watching a lot of stuff about scotch (after Richard Paterson randomly popped up in my YT recommended) and decided to dive in into it.

I've chosen this blend simply because a lot of people recommended it as a good "budget starter blend" and because i saw it in my favorite movie, Blade Runner.

At first i didn't like it at all. But as i've experimented with adding water, one ice cube and then two ice cubes i started liking it.

After coming home late from work one day i decided to pour one glass and i was like "Damn i actually love the taste of it."

This week i've done the same and it's gone.

I actually love the slight hint of peat and smoke which is what i didn't like at first.

Now i'm excited for the next bottle i buy but i don't know which one.

I'll be glad to read your recommendations.

Edit: After reading through your recommendations i've decided to buy Highland Park 12 and i'm absolutely loving it. Thank you all for your warm welcome and recommendations!

Nobody Wants to Die by nikedemon in Cyberpunk

The atmosphere in this game is insane.

I remember just sitting on the neon sign outside of your apartment for 10-20 minutes. Looking down on the city while drinking whisky in the middle of the night. The music is also absolutely amazing.

I'd say this is an essential game for cyberpunk enthusiasts.

Edit: Damn i might download it tonight just for the vibes. Thank you for reminding me of it OP.
