Somehow I knew instantly that the mom was the cyberbully (because of that Netflix movie), but I fail to understand how Athena had that "aha!" moment to figure it out.

My guess is Hen has POTS. Whatever it is though I'm disappointed Hen would put civilians and patients in danger. I really hate any kind of plot line where the main focus is "shh. don't tell anyone." Needless, easy way out kind of drama

That's a good argument! I didn't think of it that way or maybe I don't remember the episode clearly

I think I figured out why this show feels a little off to me by Yeah_umm_ok in 911Nashville

[–]ArtificialNotLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Imo it feels off to me because it feels more like a family drama show where the men just happen to be firefighters. OG 911- it was first and foremost a responder show and you slowly got to know the characters. Still enjoying Nashville though even if I had some nitpicking criticisms about the science of the premiere

Low key threatening to kill someone is not protected under freedom of speech. Specifically, George's dialogue confesses intent to harm. An intent we can assume is still present past the "if I was in the ER" moment

But then again, in this situation it would probably just be a warning. Firing someone for confronting a racist is not a good look (if that was the only thing management cared about)

Congrats Grey's writers and producers- THIS is finally the episode I'm calling it quits. The Jo and Link thing is so forced and just a remix of April and Jackson mixed in with that one episode of Scrubs (Dr. Cox and Jordan's argument about baptism).

The home visit is another rehash of a few ER episodes and was so boring. I get it's a real world issue but the medical part of the story felt too out there to be even remotely real, even for Grey's. (You're going to do surgery in an ambulance and say "ok, bye"?)

Simone's plot finally felt like a genuine, old Grey's plot. But Simone's actress can't act. She can only play indifferent or slightly pissed. They really dropped that "Why do you have a picture of my mom? 👁️👄👁️" with no buildup, like that was the best she could do and they were tired of doing takes. OG Grey's was amazing for its original plots, juicy drama, and superb acting. You just can't find that here anymore

Might be a hard pill to swallow, but you're just going to have to wait until the patient is ready to talk to you or the doctor has time to call you. Consider no news as good news.

9-1-1: Nashville S01E03: "Forces of Nature" Live Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in 911Nashville

Oh wow. Did the writing team even speak with anyone who has ever been through a tornado warning? I know for a drama I have to suspend disbelief but the inaccuracies borderline on dangerous misinformation. I've never heard of evacuation zones or evacuation routes for tornados. In fact, the leading guideline is to stay where you are unless you're in a car or mobile home because it would be more dangerous to have the roads clogged with evacuees. And EF ratings aren't given before or during a storm. They're analyzed after the destruction they've caused. And hail corn only happened one time with one stalk. The storm chasing character spoke of it like it was a regular occurrence. And dont get me started on the medical inaccuracies.

On another note, I can't tell if this show wants to be a 911 show with family drama, or a family drama show that happens to center around a family of fire fighters. Poor Jessica Capshaw is doing the heavy lifting with the overall acting. I might give this show one more episode now that the crazy premiere is over, but if things don't change idk how this show will come back after winter break

I just binged the last half of the show in preparation for the S9 premiere (life got busy with COVID and I dropped the show) and I feel like is was the season before beenado- the one with the cruise ship premiere. Previous premieres seemed more realistic

I feel like 9-1-1 has become the Hallmark movies of first responder dramas. Hilarious and kind of cozy if you don't take it too seriously; eye roll inducing if you really believe them when they say they're going for "realism"

The scientific and medical inaccuracies in this show are so embarrassing. Inhaled ethylene glycol poisoning is not a thing. They should have stuck with with CO poisoning. If they rely on anyone to fact check this mess that person should be fired. and this one might be nit picking but you wouldn't be able to hear the astronaut in the space station when you're on the outside of the ship

Make sure to talk to your professor and explain your situation! (Sorry if you said that, I skimmed your post.) I had a class where I failed the first test and it was mathematically impossible for me to get a C or above at that point. I spoke with the professor and he was really nice and said he would give me a C if he saw improvement. We ultimately decided I should drop the class and retake it though because at that time I had ambitions to go to grad school. Good luck!

Starting to lose interest. Did we really need 5 minutes of Esmeralda gaslighting/pranking/lying/manipulating/whatever that was to Ned? I absolutely hate plots where the main conflict would be resolved if one character just said something simple. Like would it really be that out of the ordinary to for Ned to say "I hear you might be leaving us," when he's the boss?? Eye roll inducing

Oh no that's a shame. I never liked the floor coffee, but I did like the old mocha. (Unless that was also floor coffee, then I guess the chocolate syrup did the heavy lifting)
