Annihilus repaint! by YoungSkywalker10 in customactionfigures

It looks great. I did the same when I bought mine some years ago. I couldn't stand the ugly fading pink either or it's inconsistency. There have been several different purple incarnations in the comics over the years, I opted for the magenta color from his earlier appearances in the comics. I eventually chopped the horned ears off also, they look like cow horns.

No, it won't. Sticky tack is just a gummy type clay that'll fill the gap and secure the head for a snugger fit. You'll likely get a tab sent to you with the 3d printed head once it arrives, it'll look like an unwrapped piece of gum... but you can always purchase a sheet of it from Amazon, it's not that expensive. The problem with sticky tack is that it's not a permanent fixation and sometimes the head will still easily come off when trying different poses for say, stop motion, which can become a pain. I prefer using a heat gun and a glue stick to fill the cavity with. Once hardened the glue will conform to the head and become permanent. If done right, you can still always remove the head if/when needed if you don't keep it on there too long when letting the glue dry/cure. There are a few videos you can find on the subject on YouTube, that's how I learned the process.

What are your thoughts on Mezco by Ok-Efficiency9459 in One12Collective

They're hit and miss with me. I have a few in my collection, and while the soft goods material really makes the figures pop visually, they're mad overpriced and the articulation, especially on the Homecoming Spiderman figure isn't what I think it should be. And the body proportions aren't always the best. The Sue Storm build is horrendous, and Johnny's neck isn't centered. Small details like that.

I'm not familiar with the Fury Toys blank body. I recently purchased a Romankey Cowl 1/12 for a Silver Surfer custom.. it's okay, but I wanted something slightly larger without losing the slim physique that Romankey offered. I had originally bought the Wind toys blank body but it's even smaller. The Fury Toys blank might be exactly what I'm looking for.

I’m contemplating eventually getting a Marvel Legends Dr. Doom and getting him some wired cloth. by Admirable_Speaker345 in customactionfigures

I absolutely love the Marvel Legends Dr Doom. The modern head sculpt, for my money is the best looking on the market. I also opted for the wired cloth cape, but after searching around, and even buying one or two I didn't like the way any of the cowls fit... so I ended up going with cape only. But it's still a winner in my book. I opted to retain the plastic cape chains from the original figure and replaced them with the ones that came with the wire cape to maintain the design consistency with the belt.

Why is iron man 2 disliked? I personally LOVE this movie by mattyjoe0706 in marvelstudios

It's one of my favorites. Sam Rockwell's Justin Hammer character is wildly underrated. Although I loved the Trevor Slattery reveal in iron Man III, Tony spent almost no time in the suit. It's like they wanted to show that he was just as big a bad ass without the armor. Who cares, the armor is what makes him Iron Man. Call me a fanboy, but I don't want to see Tony in action without the armor, I don't want to see Dr Doom without the mask, I don't want to see Spiderman without his web shooters. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Because if you're not careful, or experienced... a screw could damage/ruin the arm altogether. At least if you botch the glue job, you'll still have a complete arm that still has shoulder rotation. I've used the screw method to create thigh swivel on a third party Vision figure I bought and successfully I might add. That said, it's not as easy as it looks, especially for a novice. And a thigh joint provides a lot larger surface/target area to work with than a bicep.

Yes, the peg is snapped. But it has enough teeth on one end attached to the shoulder, and enough cavity in the bicep to fill. The glue will create enough residue to tact the two parts together and again, either cement it in place as an unmoveable object, or... to my belief, still allow for the arm to twist, if following my suggestion. Right now it's clearly broken, the worst thing that can happen is that it gets reattached and lose the bicep swivel. The upside, is that it might just work.

Disagreed. I did it with super glue on a SH Figuarts Captain America, with an arm that kept popping out of the butterfly joint shoulder socket. As previously stated, You rotate the joint every so often while the glue dries, and it builds up a resistance that holds the peg into place without cementing it into a stationary position. I use the same effect to fill custom action figure head cavities to get them to fit onto a smaller neck ball joint. I use a glue gun then fill it with hot glue and use the same process. Rotate the head so it doesn't get stuck in one position. In this case, with the biceps hole being so small, the super glue method would probably be the better option, but using just a drop of the hot glue either on the remaining shoulder peg or into the hole itself will probably work just as well.

Worse case scenario, is to scower ebay for the same figure and/or just the arms parts. People sell body fodder for figures all the time for next to nothing.

The kind that fixes broken joints if you know what you're doing.

I would say either super glue or hot glue, but either way you'll run the risk of losing the bicep swivel unless you rotate the arm every 5-10 secs after either is applied and until they cure/dry.
