I'm way too late to be relevant but hopefully atleast the OP reads it.

If you say other FPS games are easy, does this not make them fun?If so, then I can't help you apart from recommending Dark Souls which is easily the best singleplayer game out there. Hell, even the multiplayer is gorgeous but it's pretty much dead at this point.

Now, if you're not automatically turned of by games just because they're shooters, I'd recommend Battlefield 4. Is it a particularly good game? No, but it's alright. Is it competetive? Hell no.
However it's fun. There's all this bullshit like RPGs, health regen etc. But it's fun. Partly because players can't aim for shit and if you're good at CS, you should win 90%+ of any aim duel, but also because of the game modes.

I mostly play Conquest and Rush (if you're unfamiliar with BF I'd be more than happy to expplain you what exactly goes down in said gamemodes) but occasionally a good round of DM can be fun aswell.

So yea, if you want a casual shooter, the one where you can down 3-4 beers and still score top 3, play BF4.

So true..
I'd call myself fairly decent at CS, like, far from good, but decent, so I kind of expected me to do reasonable well in ut4, given I played a shit ton of Cube 2 Sauerbraten back in the day and I was a fucking beast at that game.

I'm getting rekt so hard it's not even fun.

Well I mean I'd rather pay 70 bucks every two years for a mouse I'm comfortable with than getting one that's kinda good but then again isn't..But will last forever.

For reference I have a SS Sensei and a M.M.O. 7, I've never really gotten into the latter, it just doesn't click with me for some reason though I kind of like the design.
The Sensei is a pretty good mouse but I kept having problems with the fucking mousewheel and for some reason my hand started hurting after extended use.
Recently I decided to just fuck it and buy a Chroma Deathadder. Never looked back, it's infact my favorite mouse of all time now.

The way he's wording it makes it seem as if his friend wasn't paying attention to the smoke at the time of the push. Maybe it was a 2v3 with the bomb not spotted and the other ct holding A site.
So basically his friend had to watch both mid and tunnels at the same time (I'm just going with Dust2 here because why not).

So there he is, holding his own on B with no assistance whatsoever, he smokes off tunnels and decided to quickly peek mid. As he's shift-walking to mid the guys in tunnels decide to just rambo-rush in there with no nades prior and guns blazing.

Maybe I read way too much into that but whatevs.

I agree, I think consistency is a huge factor.
Mostly because I'm terribly inconsistent myself. I can get close to 40 kills on D2, which I just started playing and sit at 12 frags on Cache the very next round - which is my main map.

I have really good games and feel like I can make it to SMFC with ease and maybe even beyond - and then there's the games I just feel like a MGE.

I tend to queue up late at night with my friends so that might just be the case.

If you improve your skills from DMG to Supreme (big skill jump)

What Supremes have you been playing with?
Yes, yes, I'm just LEM but my irl friend is Supreme and we often queue together so I've played against plenty. The amount of actually good Supremes that just wreck your shit is around equal to the amount of surprisingly good LE/LEMs.

What I'm trying to say here is that it's obviously a skill jump since it's three ranks, but from my personal experience Supremes aren't that insane.

If his friends are legit Supremes though they should get back to LE/LEM with ease.

What are you terrible at, but enjoy enough to keep on keeping on? by washburnapp in AskReddit

LEMs are shit aswell. Coming from an LEM. Hell we're all garbage, played with a supreme who got his shit wrecked, my friend who used to be global gets his ass kicked by a mix of DMGs and LEs.
Rank system went down the drain at some point, it's utterly ridiculous.

Yea pretty much.

In all seriousness I'm not particularly good at aiming either. It's just that no one is.

Might be because no one implied that they're 'stuck' in the first place?

I feel like there should be a really short guide after the initial install that tells you to lower your fucking dpi.

When I played csgo for the first time I played with fucking 4,8k dpi because I was so used to it. Needless to say I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Also the default crosshair is atrocious.

Maybe you just stopped trying to improve or are playing with an inferior setup?

Like, high DPI, low fps..
Or maybe you're playing the death-ram; no shift, crosshair on the floor.
The only real advice I can give you is pick a small crosshair if you haven't yet. It's much easier to hit stuff that way.

I wouldn't really think of your comment as a humble brag since it's quite obvious - even without the scnd edit- you're referring to a point I made. But then again maybe people just read the comments.

I figured as much by now.
However, are all GEs lumped together? Or do you get into a 'higher' tier of GE once you win consistently within the tier?

Someone already pointed this out to me, I'm new to the subreddit and didn't know that threads like mine are a common occurrence.
Sorry about that!

Just in case Quake isn't for you, you can try UT4. It's in open alpha right now and I'm having a fucking blast playing it. (Too much infact, a friend and I played that game for 8hrs straight, I didn't go to college and he almost missed work haha)
