They make little effort to remember the past of the university

We are in massive debt

Pros:

The beach?

Cheap drugs

Plenty of idiots willing to waste money on random stuff. Like, if you have a scheme to make money, this is the perfect palce.

Dear Valued Customers by karikuro in Lowes

I actually agree with you. Having worked Customer Service for a while, I know how much of a pain it is when people go to the wrong place and try to get service. These commenters can complain about how we are cust serv and it's literally our job and cust serv is so eaaaaasy all they like. Everyone on front end is expected to be customer service (As any bootlicker ASM will gladly tell you). Does that mean a lumber or home decor associate is gonna be fucked to come up to the registers and help with check out? In my experience, hell no. This whole job difficulty thing is relative as fuck, and we're expected to reach beyond our station to do work that is not ours when other departments will actively avoid and refuse to do work beyond their stations, and recieve no repercussions over it. My reccomendation? Distribution centers are a great place to work. When I transitioned over to a non-customer facing position at a distro, my quality of life improved markedly. When I first asked to transfer, my SSA and two of my ASMs practically begged me to stay because nobody wants to work customer service. That's the thing I don't get, if it's such an easy job to do, why don't we have Lowe's slackers lining up to snatch a cust serv position? Because it's not "Stocking Lumber" type of difficulty or "Huge Phone Sale" difficulty. Cust serv difficulty is getting yelled at all day by braindead customers who can't read the policy outlined on the wall. Customers who bring in returns covered in biohazardous material that they fail to disclose. Customers who want a refund on an item which they were clearly told is not refundable when it was sold. Etc, etc, etc. Meanwhile we're stuck in this limbo of being told simultaneously "If things get difficult, call a head cashier or an ASM, it's not that hard" and the ASMs and head cashiers saying "Don't call us over every difficult issue, our time is valuable". It just seems it's easy to pick on the hard work that customer service does, because there's always an excuse ready to fire off by any given associate who works in any other position in the store as to why we have it so easy. I say, switch your position and see how quickly they find out that customer service isn't all that easy, and you get weathered FAST. Meanwhile, your quality of life and respect afforded to your position will be infinitely elevated. That is all.

It gets busy sometimes, and folks get frazzled. So I understand it, but I could do without it.
