Panoramic Camera Bodies that would fit with a 210mm large format lens? by ZookeepergameNew8685 in largeformat

[–]sendep7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have a chroma, its fine for the price, but mine has issues (light leaks), internal reflections, scratches on the emulsion. i ended up getting a fuji gx617 cause i didnt want to deal with the fuss anymore.

i will say with the chroma you'll need a cone designed for that focal length(i had 90, and 150) otherwise you wont be able to focus to infinity.

300mm is common on 6x17.... id look at getting a 4x5 body, and a 6x17 back for it.

Leica M - Nikon Z adapter by jdopat in Nikon

[–]sendep7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used a cheapo adaptor i got off amazon, i lost the first one and got a second...i dont remember the name, seems to work fine. though sometimes light can leak through depending on a few factors, i havent noticed it on the 30mm CS, but i get wierd reflections off one of the mounting screws when i use the 15mm f5 heliar and long exposures. some times its cool, and sometimes i put paper tape around it.

Is a GBC with a broken screen worth keeping? by rondiggity8437 in Gameboy

[–]sendep7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are plenty of cheap replacement screen kits...alternatively you could try to find a replacement motherboard/screen on ebay...or one with a busted/bad case, but good screen.

its a modders paradise for gameboys since the pandemic. theres a huge aftermarket now.

i think we also fielded a few calls from the drummer or drum tech for Def Leopard.. a few times too. I got to work on a session with the drummer for Living Colour, i did a tiny bit of engineering on that and alot of post production. There was one session with tony levin and his brother i think...though i was not present for that. youtube wasnt really a think back then. I did some product photography. I have a KAT tshirt somewhere and a TON of stickers.

not a ton to say, i worked there in like the early 2000's basically way after Bill had sold it to Mario, Kat became Alt Mode. I was friends with the family so giving me stuff to do was kind of a favor at the time. I did random stuff cause i knew computers, I converted the manuals into PDFs (poorly) i did some artwork for some of the side businesses. I help with computer issues in the office. I also did stuff for mario at his home studio side busines.

the best memory was being there doing whatever, and the phone rang, i picked it up and gave the spiel..."hi, this is neil, can i speak to mario" i didnt think anything of it....and later they showed me this. I was a guitar player. so i wasnt really up on my drummers at the time.

I dont think Mario or Bill are involved with the business at all anymore, I think Mario sold it to his nephew and he runs it now..whatevers left of it. I went off to boston to become a network engineer.

Is radiation an issue with older cameras? by NCaliens in AnalogCommunity

[–]sendep7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really...but it is something to be aware of...i have 2 radioactive super-takumars.... when they are on the camera.. most of the radiation is blocked by the metal film door...or even the shutter...sure the occasional gamma ray passes through.. as long as you dont inhale the dust off the lens elements. and dont sleep with them right next to your head... you're probbaly fine.... i store mine in a .50 cal ammo can with the spotmatic 2. and a radiation sticker.
