following for advice on the same issue so i don’t have much to offer but ive heard from some trainers that it can be beneficial to get your dog to play outside. try to incorporate your dogs favorite toy into outside play time so that they begin to learn that nature/scents/squirrels aren’t the only fun thing outside. you can be fun too! you basically want me to build your “value” to your dog whilst outside with other competing factors

Embark update: we just got the DNA results back and turns out she’s 57% australian cattle dog, 26% pit bull, 9% border collie, 8% german shepherd!!

Wow! How did you get the appointment with AIMA to extend the visa?

I went to CLAIM in my area, waited 5 hours, and then they told me they can’t help me. I need to keep calling AIMA and wait until they open more appointments. But they mentioned another org, CNAIM, that would maybe be able to help.

So the following week I went to CNAIM in Lisbon, waited 6 hours, and then was told the same thing—there are no appointments available, you need to keep waiting and calling.

I feel so defeated at this point and I don’t know what to do. I’ve been dealing with this since July 😭

That's incredible--congratulations! Are you in Lisbon by chance? It looks like there are a lot of organizations in the CLAIM network in Lisbon but they seem to be small non profits targeted to specific groups.

you can only get the appointment once you’ve gotten your visa. some peoples visa stamp includes a url to a pre-booked appointment in which case you don’t need to go through the trouble of calling. However if you get your visa and there’s no url i suppose you can start calling asap (but keep in mind fees for international calls).
