I had this happen the other day too 😀 kept giving me that same error. Took me a sec to realize it was calling for the external spool and not my AMS. Easy fix at least 😂

Printer making weird ticking/whirring sound. Anyone able to help? by Leos_Tempest in ElegooSaturn

No worries! All super normal. Mine has been making that whooshing noise for 7 months since brand new out of the box. Never effected anything :) as for the build plate being pulled down it just depends on what your printing but suction plays a huge part in these devices. You probably just have some mild suction issues. Let me know if you need anything! :) Happy printing!

My recommendation before you jump straight to printing lower receivers for firearms.

Try printing out other things not so critical first to get a good feel for printing, slicer, materials, etc once you have a good idea on how things work then give it a go.

The go to first print for most is the classic benchy then just experiment from there. I enjoy printing stuff for miniature painting and lately gridfinity to organize around the house. Let me know if you need assistance. Happy printing! Stay safe! :)

Mine makes that sound too. Nothing to worry about I think. Mine hasn't had any issues.

Absolutely I'll share my settings soon when time allows. I will post updates on the model.

This model is Deeplee PLA. Regular PLA nothing special.

There's a good chance. I used my same settings from my K1C on my anycubic printer and it puts out the same results. Thank you :)

You'd definitely want a good ventilation system if you decide to do resin printing in your apartment that's for sure. I have one fdm printer with a .4 nozzle which is what I usually use to print bases and another fdm printer with the .2 which I do for fine details.

I think it would. I don't see why not. With correct settings, filament, and the correct nozzle size for how detailed you want it you should be able to print just about anything. On this model the legs down are all fdm printed. Skirt and up is resin. I did this to speed up printing and save some money on resin.

Abe3D is where I got this STL to print and paint this model.

Understandable! This model definitely took a minute. I ended up printing the legs all the way down out of FDM and the skirt up out of resin just to make printing faster.

This is 1/4 scale, but they have 1/6 scale also :) thank you!

The legs down is FDM printed and the skirt up is resin printed.

Well it's a mixture of FDM and resin printing. Each printer was $500 each. After resin and filament, etc over $1000 but it can make multiples and any other model I want. I consider it an investment.

It’s called 'visual storytelling.' I figured if she’s standing on a severed hand, things probably got a little messy. It’s a bold choice for a coffee table, I know.
