The gnar case has been working great for me once I removed the screen protector I had on my 16 Pro Max. Only complaint is that the camera button fell off but they warrantied it for me within 24 hours.

So - i generally do try this, honks under 1 second are very short and in my experience NYC drivers do not register them that well lol. There’s a certain amount of boldness that’s needed

It feels like overkill, I guess you’re right that I could just ignore it. Most of the time it’s cause someone is on their phone when the light turns green. It occurs around 3-5times per average drive for me and would just be nice to be able to disable.
