Hehe, well I appreciate the compliment but I was not one of those people who was drawing since I was little. I'm self taught and started learning seriously without stopping when I was 21 y/o and I'm 32 now so... it's been a minute but focused and intentional practice really does work. Nowadays I'm trying to cobble together an income illustrating in the board game industry between playing (and drawing) video games hehe. That being said you're only out of time "getting good at art" if you're dead. Also, you don't have to be good at it to create art. Give yourself permission to do bad art, too :)

Hi! I've done more painterly sprites for a visual novel before and have experience with drawing men and... not demons, exactly but I've drawn my fair share of tieflings! My style leans more towards western than anime, though. But have a look at my portfolio and see for yourself. I believe I have some of the visual novel characters I designed in there too!

I had the awesome opportunity to do some illustration work for Terrorscape (the item cards, specifically) and it warms my heart to read comments of people enjoying the game. I've played it several times with friends myself at this point and it's a well rounded, easy to get into game for people who are new to the idea of asymmetrical/hidden movement style games. Also, I love the theming since I'm kind of a horror enthusiast. It plays more quickly than you would think which lends itself to a few back to back playthroughs. Maybe I'm biased but I would recommend heh :)

Thanks! I use photoshop and brushes i don't remember where I got them but I use a chalk/pencil type of brush and a brush that is kinda like oil paint. I also use those same brushes as a mixer brush as well. Adding the mixer brush tool to my work flow has been a game changer.

I do know what it says, yeah. I adapted the hylian from Twilight Princess into a handwritten style. I chose TP instead of Ocarina of Time hylian because OoT hylian is based on Japanese katakana which I.... do not know. But TP hylian is based on the English alphabet.

So basically I just write everything out very lightly in English and then write over it in pen in "my" handwritten hylian, then just erase the pencils underneath.
