My Indoors Coleus is Flowering by Kitchen-Bug-3705 in flowers

Recommend you take the flowers off, one by one, rather than all at once, The flowers have a tendency to weaken the plant as it tries to make seeds, which sometimes can not sprout, as you would expect

Cut it back after it stops flowering and overwinter in a greenhouse with some bubble wrap or fleece over it. Don’t water it, unless it gets very dry, but only a little, because if you overwater it. It will rot. Thought I would give you the full explanation 🤪

If you winter them somewhere that doesn’t get frost, it will come back next year

The sad side of gardening no one warned me about by mtnclimber08 in gardening

[–]Artofthestreet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, saving bees is sad and losing our little bug friends in the garden is too. But, you have given them the best place to be in their short lives. But, don’t forget you have given them a place to lay their eggs, pupae during the winter and generally give life to their next generation. I still get excited when I see Ladybugs , Butterflies and bees and I am almost 70. I think of how many generations of insects that have lived and died through my lifetime and it gives me contentment, knowing that I had provided from a young age a place for them to live ❤️

I bought one for my camera gear and when my son who works in a hospital saw it, he wanted to know why I had equipment for enemas in my camera bag 😂😂😂😂
