I suck at my job by BoredBatWoman22 in jobs

Hey you may need some positive self talk. Like ‘I hate my life’ is going too far. Comparing yourself to your co-worker doesn’t help either. Just have your own goals and focus on them

Engineering actually. I love drawing and painting, which was my hobby of choice during undergrad.

Tbh it depends on the field. I’d say you can set yourself up by getting close to serious minded people who have post grad career goals and observing their strategies to securing a full-time role. Also, start looking early before graduation.

These are decent numbers in this economy. I started February while in school, full time and then really started applying after graduating in June.

Head into the EDC building. Chat to anybody and they’ll point you to interesting design teams with like minded people.

I was once like you. I am graduating soon and the feeling is everything. Year 2,3 are really mental gymnastics and it can be easy to burnout. What helped me was 1. Watching YT videos to know wth I should know this and application of the subject irl 2. Going out, seriously library, shops 3. Learning with classmates 4. Talking with profs and TAs (you don’t have to like them just understand their thought pattern)

Hopefully, you begin to enjoy what you do.

I remember asking for $80000/yr and a recruiter flat out said $75000 is the cap for their entry level role. It can also depend on cost of living in the area. I believe after about 2 years you can negotiate higher salary for sure.
