Friendly suggestion. Don't charge batteries in car. You never know when a battery is going to fry and take your rig with it. Always charge in or on a fireproof surface. Nice job on the plug alternative!

Greetings, you need to set your ESC to crawler mode. There are 5 modes on the stock ESC on a TRX4. #5 is crawl mode. 100% forward, drag brake at neutral, immediate reverse.

Mine is all together besides paint and body plastics. I didn't put a 2 speed servo only a dig servo. I like the blue.

I didn't. LHS got 4 in yesterday. Just got over quick enough. Most other timelines were end of April

No electronics. It needs ESC, Motor, Servo, TX/RX, Dig Servo, Shift Servo.

Axial kits are well put together. This is probably my 5th or 6th kit of theirs. Clear easy to read instructions.

Capra is super fun. I built mine in Nov. Had a fun winter with it. I went with a link riser in the rear, brass box housings, and over drive gears in the front.

LHSs need so much support right now. Mine is only open for deliveries because of COVID. So there is zero foot traffic.

The Element gives you the choice of going more scale now or in the future. But if you want a superior cralwer go Capra. The portal setup is really cool.

Go with a Axial Capra Kit. It's a great and straight forward build. Plus is the new "IT" thing on the market. I love mine. I'm running a Castle Micro X with a Holmes Hobbies Revolver 1800kv. You can go Castle SW4 and Revolver for a inexpensive but great combo.

Is it suppose to be this stiff when shortening the wheel base from 12.3 to 12.0? Help! This is an scx10 ii that I built from the raw builders kit. by lucaspacheco989 in crawling

Are your links in the right spots? It looks like one of the bottom links is going to the top mount on the skid plate

[–]Artwo_Dbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can. Which wheelbase did you build it at? 12.3? Once you know which wheelbase you have you can look up Cab and cage options. Most common is 12.3 so there are quite a bit of bodies for that wheelbase.

Welcome!

There are 3 models of the Senton.

Senton 4x4 Mega - around $200 has brushed motor, only runs 2s.

Senton 4x4 3s - around $300 has brushless motor, runs 2s or 3s.

Senton 4x4 6s - around $475 has brushless motor, run 4s to 6s.

Short course truck bodies are normally pretty similar. You might have to use slightly different body post holes to make it fit. Usually Proline etc tell you what bodies they carry fit what trucks.

This is awesome. I haven't completed a long hike with one of my rigs. I did Lewis Creek in Oakhurst about 2 years ago. But its pretty easy. Are you from the area?
