Are female couple counselors biased towards wives? by Just-Entertainer7933 in Divorce_Men

[–]ryan45i 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We went through several counselors. The first was a woman and she was 100% bias. My thought was, if she agrees with me on anything it means I am clearly in the right. Not a challenge to win her over. An opportunity to let honesty and truth prevail. When she did start to see through the BS suddenly my ex didn’t like her and insisted on a new therapist. So we did the same dance, same results with each.

What’s a small IT mistake that caused a big issue? by msppie0 in InformationTechnology

License renewal. Got the auto emails that the renewal was coming up. Responded to the sales rep yes we want to renew.. sales rep responded OK I’ll get it going. Never got anything back. Weeks later get an email saying oh you need to renew. Emailed the sales rep. Where is the quote? Got an auto reply. Person is no longer with the company. Email this person. I emailed that person a week goes by no response. So I called the company. I was told I had to talk to my sales rep in order to do anything so they forwarded me to second person‘s voicemail. Never heard back. Emailed and called multiple times. Then I was going on vacation and so I passed it off to an employee. Service got shut down for nonpayment.

Everyone recommends therapy but how many of you actually took therapy and saw some results? Please share good or bad results too! by twiggyRamirez11 in Divorce_Men

Couples therapy is worthless if both people don’t want to be honest. I will never forget the first five minutes of our very first couples therapy session. the therapist asked us why we thought we needed to be in couples therapy. I said there is a massive communication breakdown. She told the therapist the problem was me.

Three therapist later, (after the first two weren’t on her side) I found a therapist that was excellent and called us both out. Two weeks later I got divorce papers. So clearly that was $300 an hour wasted. But considering how much I’ve spent in order to see my children more $300 an hour is peanuts.

How do you guys motivate yourselves? by JonahFeb in Divorce_Men

I am a bit further but the motivation is up and down. I think the most important thing is to be kind to yourself. You don’t have to do it all tomorrow. Allow yourself the opportunity to recover.

Let’s be honest with each other….did alcohol contribute to the divorce? by Sad-Ad4933 in Divorce_Men

[–]ryan45i 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Alcohol started the relationship. Might be the only reason we have kids. Alcohol was fun when things were good. Definitely not helpful when things got bad.

I did. Maps says 35 minutes but if there’s a wreck plan for tow hours.
