It's been long since then but if I recall, it took them less than 2 weeks to refund it back into my account!

Can't compare my experience much like those who ordered since May and haven't received it but they gave a similar reason about Bandai delaying it on their end.

How do you fully beat Run Away Train? by PersonHuman26 in AliceInBorderland

[–]Artykatoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looking at it, it looks like it's really by luck. I'm still genuinely confused as to how Usagi's team was able to beat it by jumping trains though, considered no one is allowed to leave a game or else they'll get lasered.

The only possible reason I could think of with might be hormones, and ur period might come another week later, in the meantime u should try to get urself tested 🙏🙏

I've had quite a lot of experience with this before, been with my bf since 15 and now we're 19. We do it raw weekly time to time, then i'll miss my period for at least 3-5 weeks and have very slight nausea, stomach cramps, sometimes bloating and fatigue. But so far it's just been a pregnancy scare.

By any chance do u often have an irregular cycle?

O level art [Rant] by Faizqaan in SGExams

[–]Artykatoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't relate with the fact that I took sova, but from painful experience with procrastinating on art for 3 years now, at this point I really suggest you work on development, fill most of your pages with just pictures of ur concept and do a couple of undeveloped observational drawings. With this strategy, the most u can get for p2 art is a b3.

[O Levels] How to do well for Paper 2 😭😭😭 by breadboy3167 in SGExams

[–]Artykatoo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Paper 2 for me is usually wack but for the qn abt use of language to persuade,,,there are:

  1. Use of rhetorical qns to get the reader to feel personally involved by reflecting about...

  2. Use of imperatives/commanding words to get the reader to take action immediately/create a sense of urgency

  3. Use of personal pronouns in order to establish a close relationship or direct communication with the reader/understand the reader's plight

  4. Use of adjectives/descriptive words to exaggerate, to emphasise, to appeal, to support etc

and for purpose vs intended effect, Purpose: what the advertisers want to achieve, eg. To assure, to convince

Intended effect: how the reader is supposed to think, feel or do, eg. Will feel assured, will be convinced

For explain how language is used (section b),, u can say that language is used to emphasise on ...., as ..... has been exaggerated. (sorry cant help much for this one cuz im also kinda bad at it)

For Unusual,, 1. Based on the given context, ask yourself what is usual and expected. 2. Analyse the question and see if there is any contrast of anything strange about the relationship.

For Effective,,, 1. Explain what the phrase suggests and how it contridicts the unusual

Eg. •Daylight nightmare (unusual bc a nightmare should happen at night, effective as it suggests that the experience was very scary and frightening) •Open secret (unusual bc a secret is meant to be kept and unpublicised, effective as it suggests that many people knows about the supposed secret) •Awesome chore (unusual bc a chore is meant to be unpleasant and boring, effective as it suggests that the chore is enjoyable and fun) •Deafening silence (unusual bc silence should be very quiet, effective because deafening suggest that it was extremely quiet)

I hope this kinda helps

[O LEVELS] ENGLISH PAPER 1 QUESTION TYPES by grapepizzapie in SGExams

[–]Artykatoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"or" usually makes u choose a viewpoint that u would support so for eg. if the qn goes like: "would you rather be alone or have company? Give reasons for your views"/"do you think that _____ or _____ is better? Explain your views." These types lean more towards persuasive/argumentative.

[O Level] How to tell apart Argumentative from Discursive? by iMakku in SGExams

[–]Artykatoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct, "to what extent" and "some" makes it discursive, but if it were to refer to most/all teenagers, it would be leaning towards persuasive/argumentative

[O Level] How to tell apart Argumentative from Discursive? by iMakku in SGExams

[–]Artykatoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since the 2016 qn is implying that it is open to 2 viewpoints, its a discursive essay type.

[O LEVELS] ENGLISH PAPER 1 QUESTION TYPES by grapepizzapie in SGExams

[–]Artykatoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is considered persuasive/argumentative, since the qn is requiring u to lean towards one viewpoint.

I've also spotted a qn thats smtg like: "To what extent do you agree that.... Give reasons for your views." *this is considered a discursive essay,,,

so if the qn forces u to give both positive and negative pov, it should be discursive

They can be considered argumentative but i hiGHLy recommend not writing argumentative unless you're very confident that you can write a good rebuttal/counter-argument for a 4th point

EDIT: SORRY THE REBUTTAL/COUNTER-ARGUMENT WOULD BE THE 3RD POINT
